The Best Of LUSH's Christmas Collection #DitsyDecember

I'm well aware that LUSH released their festive offerings some time ago (technically early October) and many would have already put up varying posts - be it hauls or favourites - all about it. But here I am, in December, now about to offload my thoughts on the Christmas 2014 collection. #alwayslatetotheparty #itsstillappropriatesohopefullywontmattertoomuch.

Firstly we have the So White Bath Bomb which was - shock horror - the first actual product I tried from LUSH. I know, I know. I've already written a whole post documenting this rather big step I made from being someone who would always walk past the place to someone who feels the need to go in there at least once a week and how this was the product that converted me. I just love the smell of this - a lovely, crisp apple scent that feels very refreshing around this time of year when we're constantly bombarded with more indulgent, slightly sickly aromas. A more fuss-free LUSH product that contains no glitter or any particularly fancy add-ons, it just turns your bath a nice cerise pink shade and smells delicious - what more could you want?

Another festive fave is their Christmas Eve bubble bar. This I picked up purely down to the smell (like most others) but seriously, this smells gorgeous. A calming, relaxing scent of jasmine and ylang ylang, this gets you ready for bed in no time. Apart from listing some of the ingredients, I can't think of how to describe this product other than being very 'spa-like' and more of a mature scent (unlike ones such as Snow Fairy).

We also have what is probably the cutest product in LUSH's festive range. It is of course, The Melting Snowman. This is a bath melt and so doesn't fizz or create bubbles, but leaves your water all silky and soft-feeling, and you emerge very hydrated indeed. As the predominant colour of this is - surprise, surprise - white, you wouldn't be wrong guessing that is the hue this turns your bath water. It sort of resembles cloudy lemonade once all fully melted, but the smell of this could not be more different. It's sweet but not overly sugary, and you can definitely detect hints of spiciness, making this quite a warming, relaxing scent. Combined with some bubble-making product of your choosing and you're in for a winner of a bath!

Another cute pick, let me introduce you to Butterbear - essentially the Butterball bath bomb that's available all year but in the shape of a polar bear. What more could you want from a bath product? This, as you would imagine, smells identical to its big sister, a lovely vanilla scent with a slight hint of warmth to it but not so much as the Melting Snowman. This, other than its cute shape, might still be one you may walk straight past due to its lack of more exciting colours and perfume, though that is exactly what I love about it. This instead focuses more on the nourishment side of things and is packed full of good stuff for your skin. It contains cocoa butter that, once plonked in the bath, is released in little pods that sort of float round the bath in an oil-like layer on top of the water. Sounds gross, does wonders for your skin. It's inoffensive smell is also brilliant for the times when you don't fancy all the thrills and spills that often come with others from the Christmas collection.

Then there's Cinders, a product which is again very popular and one that I believe to have been around for quite some time! This is a bath bomb, and so fizzes once entering your bath. This turns your bah water yellow, which is perhaps the one thing I don't like so much about it, as it kind of looks like you've had a bit of an accident. The smell, however, is much more up my street. It's a very warming, spicy scent - probably the most out of all of the Christmas range. It also contains popping candy designed to emulate a burning fire, which many claim doesn't work. I have had two of these so far and I can confirm that I could actually hear popping in both so maybe I'm just lucky!

So there are a few of my top picks from LUSH's latest launch! Have you tried any of the ones I mentioned or if not, will you be picking any up anytime soon?
