Empties #8

After the last round of Empties, which featured only a select few items which had never before seen the 'Empties' bin - today I'm back with a fresh batch in my usual style, all ready to wave goodbye.

First up are a couple that have cropped up in an Empties post a fair few times before - the Rimmel Lasting Finish 24 Hour Nude Foundation and the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. Both of these rank pretty high up there as one of my faves in both the foundation and concealer categories respectively. These have already been mentioned many times previously to this post on Dainty Ditsy, so I think I'll leave it at that for today to save sounding like a broken record. In short - they are both all kinds of awesome.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'Floral Essence' - Moving onto new, never-before-seen additions to the Empties collection, I have a freshly used up bottle of one of my favourite dry shampoo formulations. I do love me some Colab, but for a slightly cheaper price this works just as well - it just requires that little bit more time to really carefully apply and work it in to avoid the dreaded white patches *shudders*.

OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Weightless Hydration Oil - More from the hair department and this has to be one of my ultimate favourite finds hair-wise this year so far. This whole OGX Coconut Water range has truly been a revelation for me - managing to hydrate my dry, damaged hair and leaving it feeling and looking super healthy and nourished without at all weighing it down with excess product. Out of the whole range, this has been the standout for me - mainly due to its ability to be used with any other Shampoo/Conditioner combination you may have going on and still giving that same effect as if you were to use all three from the Coconut Water line. If you wanna try this range out and just want to try one thing - make it this. I already have another stashed away ready to replace this one. It's that good.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub - Scooting on over to the bodycare arena, this is my second tub I believe of this stuff that I've gone through. I'm just so in love with the Sugar Crush range, it is untrue. The scrub itself is pretty darn amazing as well - filled with grains to really buff away all that dead skin (mmm) and leave behind a fresher, cleaner body. This doesn't at all aggravate my rather sensitive skin and is rather hydrating too considering the fact it doesn't claim to be anything other than a scrub. And the smell - the smell....

Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer - Makeup-wise, I've recently got myself through a tube of this primer from Rimmel. I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you're in the market for a primer on the cheaper end of the scale, go and give the ones from Rimmel a go - you won't be disappointed. I've mentioned one of their other ones, the Lasting Finish, rather a few times too round these parts before and that it because they are both brilliant. They both apply more like a moisturiser, skincare-type item as opposed to a traditional silicone-y primer, yet still manage to aid makeup application and keep the stuff around for a very long time. This one in particular really helps to perfect my skin, as the name would correctly imply, and just smooth everything out, but still without feeling heavy on the skin. Love, love, LOVE.

Dr Bronner's Magic Soap in 'Almond' - Finally for this round of Empties is a tool-type item and considering we've just talked makeup, why not conclude on a product I like to use to remove it from the tools I apply it with? That was a longer, more complicated sentence than I imagined it to be. I talked about a new fragrance I'm currently giving a go (and loving) of this stuff in my last post (here) but this was the bottle I last went through of the original scent I first tried. While since trying the 'Rose' scent I do find myself to prefer it to this one - less overpowering and lingering on the brushes - the formula itself of this stuff always does the job right and I will forever continue to repurchase this as long as I'm using makeup brushes. Which, is looking to be a fairly long time...
