Polish Pick: Pretty In Pink (Again!)...

Another week, another pink-themed nail look. I don't know why, but right now I am all about wearing pinky tones on my nails - pretty much all of the time. I used to wear rosey tones on my nails basically on the regular back in the day but over time, I started discovering my love for other colours too and they soon became a more rare occurrence. But now, I am all over them once again and this look (and the fact that it seems to be in a long line of similar ones) I feel proves exactly that. Wanna see how I did it? Just keep reading...

First off, I went in with one of my recent pink polish faves - Maybelline's Color Show Nail Polish in 'Pink Slip' - and as usual, went in with my standard two coats to achieve full opacity. This is a stunning mid-toned candy pink, but the most exciting part is that it's laced with fine, almost iridescent shimmer that just catches the light like an absolute dream. It's a stunner, yanno? But, seeing as I'm just a lil' bit 'extra' like that - I went in with an extra dose of shimmery goodness to really beef things up even more so and for that, I used my new favourite glittery topcoat - and another awesome pick from Maybelline's Color Show Range - their Fairy Spell Nail Polish in 'Unicorn Addiction'. And what you see is exactly what you get as it is certainly one for all of the unicorn, holographic lovers out there. Those are two definite themes that have been running throughout the cosmetic industry as of late and if you're in the market for extending that into your nail polish stash - this is an absolute winner. It's super pretty and - being a clear formula - is just perfect for adding some holographic goodness to any nail colour you fancy or even, like in this case, adding even more shimmery-ness to an already-pretty-shimmery situation. One layer is all you need to get the full, 'unicorn'-ispired effect and paired with 'Pink Slip' - it made for a pretty gorgeous combination, that's for sure...
