New Makeup Brushes Haul! #DitsyDecember

I felt like updating and adding some new makeup brushes to my stash recently and thought, with it being #DitsyDecember where I post every single day - I better share them with you all! A mixture of some newbies from Beauty Bay's own collection and a few from Essence and Primark too. All super affordable brands - but from my previous experience, I've always felt they're of a pretty great quality - so I couldn't help but go back for more...

Starting with good ol' Beauty Bay and their EYN Brushes! Gorgeous rose gold brushes that are super cheap (especially since you can buy them both together or separately depending on what ones you actually want) but high quality too. I've tried a good amount of their eye brushes and loved them, so this time I thought it was about time I gave their face brushes a try. And first off, I picked up their 'Contour Queen' Small Domed Buffer Brush. As the name suggests, this is a small, round brush that's ideal for sculpting out the face - or buffing out any powders or creams in smaller areas of the face in general! Also possibly with contour or maybe even bronzer in mind, I bought the 'Make Me Blush' Blusher Brush as it seemed the perfect mid-sized, fluffy cheek brush and I then picked up the 'Glow Up' Highlighter Brush which, as you'd perhaps guess - is the perfect long and slightly tapered brush for applying highlighter! Then, finally for the Beauty Bay brushes - I chose out the 'Bake Off' Angled Powder Brush. And with this one because it is super large and fluffy, I'm debating between using it for powder or - with it having that nice, angled shape - I feel it could possibly be a great bronzer brush too! The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to start trying these brushes out, seeing how they perform (and as I said, I have high hopes going on what I've tried from Beauty Bay before) so keep your eyes peeled for inevitable review...

The next place I picked up some new brushes from is Essence! They are yet another newer staple brush brand for me that's so affordable, but doesn't scrimp on quality in anyway - and I love that. I've only tried their eye brushes before, but this time I thought aswell as buying some new ones of those, I'd pick up a face brush that had caught my eye too. Starting off with the eye brushes though, I firstly picked up four (yes, four - hear me out!) of the Smudging Brush. Personally, I find it a little difficult to find good brushes for applying and/or smudging out shadows on my lower lashline so when I came across these on the Wilko website (the place which best stocks Essence in the UK), I knew I had to pick a few up. And they really are just what I wanted in person too! The perfect small, flat smudging brush - just as the name suggests. Small enough to pack on pigment, but I feel like you could easily use this to buff out the same or a lighter colour with this brush too. Yay! I also decided whilst I was there to pick up their Holo-Lighter Highlighter Brush. Yes, I know - another highlighter brush - but in terms of face brushes, they have to be some of my favourites to try/pick up. This looks to be just ideal for it too - not too small, not too big and again with that longer, slim and slightly tapered shape which I typically find to be just right for applying my highlighter! Again, like the Beauty Bay brushes - I will definitely keep you in the loop as to how I get on.

Finally, I spotted this 'new' brush set from Primark! I say 'new' as I think I may have seen these brushes in my local store many months ago but I never got the chance to pick them up for myself as come my next visit, they were gone! This time, I wasn't gonna let them go that easily and so I took my opportunity there and then. This is the PS Smokey Eyes Brush Set! Three brushes, all catered towards the application and blending of the crease/outer corner. From the small pencil brush 'Pencil and Powder Brush' which would be just ideal for the lower lashline to the small, dense round 'Eyeshadow Blender Brush' that could be both utilised for applying product right in the crease/outer corner or beginning to slightly buff out any edges to the 'Eye Contour Brush' which just looks to be the perfect big, fluffy blending brush to buff and blur things all together. I can't wait to get to trying these beauties out!
