I always like to have a good hair mask in my Haircare stash. I try to deep condition my hair at least once a week and a good, rich hair mask is my go-to product for doing just that. My current tub just got all used up so I was in need of picking up a fresh one - and luckily, I managed to find this one from Garnier in Tesco whilst doing some essential shopping! I had actually had my eyes on this hair mask for a little while and so I was so happy to spot it in the supermarket - especially as it's kinda difficult to shop in more typical beauty arenas (like Boots and Superdrug) where I would usually pick up products such as this at the moment! This is their Ultimate Blends Hair Food Banana 3-in-1 Hair Mask. Sounds delicious, right? But, does it actually do the job well? Let's find out...
If you know me, you know I typically love anything banana flavoured or scented - so, I guess that's why this hair mask initially caught my attention. But asides from that, I actually was pretty intrigued by the whole concept and formula of these hair masks too - and they all seem to get pretty good reviews aswell! And after trying out this Banana one to begin with, I'd definitely consider giving some of the others a go too.
First off, this hair mask really does smell DELICIOUS. Like that yummy, fake banana-type smell which I personally really love. However, it's not too fake at the same time - if that makes any sense? You can tell this is a pretty 'natural' type formula! It's quite thick in consistency, but it's easy to scoop some out and deposit onto the hair. So, I do exactly that, wrap my hair up in my hair turban for as long as possible, rinse it out and all in all - I love the finished results! Not only is my hair left smelling really yummy (and I also find this delicious fragrance lingers on my hair for a while afterwards too) it also feels and looks pretty good aswell. My tresses feel so super soft, smooth and silky and they also appear really shiny and healthy too! I also notice my hair is especially frizz-free and easy to style. All in all, I'm rather impressed! I really didn't have to use too much of this either - a little goes a long way - so I can imagine this huge tub will last me a good while! So, whilst my hair is definitely not looking its best right now in Lockdown (I am well in need of my regular highlights, blunt cut and blow dry), with this hair mask, at least the condition of it is still doing ok...
