Tried and Tested: Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Shampoo

I've had blonde(r) hair for a while now. Having gone lighter about a year ago, I've found there to be many necessary changes needing to be made in my haircare routine. One of these has been the introduction of a purple shampoo. I know, but hear me out on this one.

It's a step I've only recently included, but already I've noticed the difference it's made to my hair. Beforehand, I was noticing that whilst when first dyed my hair was a clean, pure blonde shade, come some while later when the roots were showin' and it was time to repeat the process, some parts were more gingery in tone than golden.

This is where this little beauty comes in. I bought this mainly on the recommendation of other beauty bloggers and I also recall that Zoella spoke about this in a haircare video at some point, so obviously it was inevitable that this would find its way home with me from a recent trip to the mothership (aka BOOTS).

I used it pretty much the next morning and have repeatedly done so ever since. As recommended, I use it once a week only and I find it does a brilliant job of maintaining the hair colour I was originally left with, preventing any brassy tones. As many have said, it does look pretty scary when you first apply it as it comes out of the tube bright purple and the suds on your hair also go that hue but once rinsed there's no purple in sight and you're ready to continue the rest of your haircare routine. Genius.
