I thought for today's post rather than compiling a list of all of the usual 'New Years Resolution' suspects (eat more healthily, loose weight, join the gym etc.) I'd bring some more beauty-focused aims for 2015 to the table. My 'Beauty Resolutions' if you will, similar to my 'Beauty Reminders' series, though goals I'm setting for the entirety of the year. I'm proposing four things I want to get done in 2015, or do better - whether it be makeup, skincare, hair, body, or even something else...
- Master the falsies. Will this be the year I master those pesky things? Who knows, but I'd love for 2015 to be the year I finally give them a proper go and find out.
- Sort my hair out. I have the issue with my hair where it sometimes can look a tad 'disjointed' - and by that I mean, the top, highlighted section of my hair is a tad shorter than the darker, longer layers underneath, due to the layers I had put in when I decided to grow my hair out of a ridiculous bob I got it cut into about five years ago. Over the past year the layers have started to look increasingly more 'together', but I'd like to have the darker bottom layer cut up a bit so it meets the shorter, lighter section more and my hair feels more like one length.
- Turn over more products. Obviously I don't mean literally turning them over, but more finishing more of my beauty stash. I got a lot of beauty bits for Christmas and I really don't want them to become neglected. Since starting a little 'Empties' series on this blog I've found I finish more than I actually imagine I do, but I still want to push myself to continue this and not let it fall by the wayside and get complacent in 2015, so I can actually give things a fair go and of course try more new products.
- Finally, this year I want to generally experiment more with makeup style. Over this past year I've found more of what suits me and what accentuates my features best, but don't want to get stuck in a rut and become someone who only ever wears the same old neutral colours on her eyes without ever dabbling in some form of colour or someone who only ever wears certain colours of lipstick. I want to push myself more makeup-wise in 2015.
And that just about wraps up my Beauty Resolutions for 2015! What are yours?
