That time when you go to use your 'already on its last legs' mascara tube and it pathetically pumps out a measly dose of the stuff is the time when you know it's finally finished. However, while that may be a sad time (especially if said mascara was perhaps a little more on the costly side of things, or you just simply love that one in particular so much) - I may just have the answer as to how its life in your makeup bag can be resurrected once more...
I never used to be much of a bottom-lash mascara wearer. Sure, on the top I more often than not go wild with the stuff, piling on layer upon layer until my lashes can hold not more - but for my lower ones I just never used to feel the same. It just all became a bit messy - chunky mascara wands perfect for volumising my upper lashes just made the ones below clump together into one big lash and even if I did manage to somehow go against the grain and make them look somewhat presentable - by midday half of it'd be transferred onto my under-eye bags. I know - it's a struggle.
But then I found the answer. I'd considered other options before this such as simply (but also expensively) shelling out for a mascara exclusively made for this purpose (hello Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara) - and then this popped into my head. One day, when my at-the-time-current lash offerings delivered its last usage, I tried using the rather dried up wand on my lower lashes and bingo. I'd cracked it. Rather than applying a hefty dose of mascara on a usually hefty brush - this allowed for far more control, as there was much less product on the wand in the first place, but just enough for those pesky bottom lashes. All the clumping together and general chaos was gone and the same results were still there to be observed at the end of the day - not a smudge nor flake in sight.
So I guess all there's to be said now is - are you having trouble with your lower lash offerings? Or perhaps you want to venture into the world of lower lash application in the first place but feeling put off by the horror stories? You know what to do...
