Christmas Wrapping Haul! #DitsyDecember

Yes, I am indeed about to write a whole post up about wrapping - but it's Christmas, yanno? Every year as of late, I've been getting really into the whole shebang and I actually quite enjoy compiling a selection of paper, ribbon, bows and so on and getting stuck in with it all so for today's #DitsyDecember post I thought I'd show you lovely lot just what has made the cut for this year's wrapping sesh when I went shopping the other day to pick up all the vital bits 'n' bobs...

Paper-wise, I like to pick up a good few rolls so as I have something for everyone - male, female, older, younger - and I generally go straight to Card Factory for this as they never fail to disappoint with the vast range they have on offer and they're pretty cheap too. After looking at what I already had in my stash from last year, I decided I only really needed to pick up some designs for the adults, as I was pretty well-stocked for the young'uns. I plumped for tow of the 'Luxury' rolls in a red design with white writing, and a pretty bright gold also with white decoration - this time of snowflakes. I also went for one of their 'Value' rolls that they usually have on offer for3 for £1, and while usually I'd normally make full use of that offer, this time there was only the one design I loved so I simply picked up this black paper with white writing and green/red holy detailing.

Moving onto more of the 'decorative' side of the whole wrapping thang, I love to really put a lot of effort into my wrapping this time of year and love putting time into making all my presents I've collated all pretty and festive. I generally tend to try and stick with a colour theme each year - so as this year's paper selections are predominantly red, gold and black - those are the hues I'm going for in this department too. I firstly picked up some tags from good ole' Primark. I love these folded-style tags, I generally pick them up every year as they're such good value for money (£1.00 for 24 tags), come in a variety of colour schemes and they just work really well. This year they had a gorgeous set in pink, mint and white which I loved but couldn't visualise integrating well with my colour scheme, so instead I simply plumped for this pack which I feel are perfect for use with the black wrapping paper I mentioned. Without being too gender-stereotypical, I think that paper and these tags would be perfect for any presents for male relatives as the whole look gives off a slightly more masculine vibe than perhaps either the red or gold paper combined with some other tags  already have in my collection. I also went for these more child-appropriate designs for the kiddies in my life. Featuring lots of bright colours and cute illustrations of snowmen, reindeer and even Santa himself - I'm sure these will be a popular choice. Those where the only tags I ended up picking up this year as there weren't any others that really tickled my fancy for use with other recipients, plus when I got home I realised I already had plenty already. To say I'm 'well stocked up' would be a complete understatement...

I also like to invest in other pretty pieces for presents (nice alliteration there April) so I stocked up on some more bows and ribbon. I try to encase every present I wrap in ribbon of some form and stick a little (or large, depending on the present itself) bow on it to make it look extra special under the tree and again, I tend to go for the cheaper stores as they offer exactly what I'm after for a very decent price indeed. I again made good use out of Card Factory and bought a pack of their bows that also come with two rolls of ribbon - more ribbon, I know - and the bows themselves come in various finishes and sizes so can be used for all kinds of presents. Card Factory tend to do these sort of sets in many various colour schemes so there's sure to be one there to suit anyone and everyone's wrapping needs.

Finally, onto tags - and this year, as usual, I picked up some  from good ole' Primark. I love these folded-style tags, I generally pick them up every year as they're such good value for money (£1.00 for 24 tags), come in a variety of colour schemes and they just work really well.
