It's that time again for me to talk one of my favourite beauty brands for one entire post, giving you the lowdown on five of my top products from their range as we go. If you've missed any of the other posts in this style, I will link them up here for you to go and have a peruse if you fancy it. But for now, it's time to talk all things bath and body, as we delve into five of my favourite things from LUSH's Christmas Collections...
So White Bath Bomb - Starting with perhaps my most favourite, favourite of the lot - this bath bomb is just all kinds of awesome. Yes, on the outside it may look nothing particularly special with its plain white outer casing, but once dropped into the bath tub it comes alive with a bright pink centre, turning the water a gorgeous fuchsia shade. Its refreshing apple scent is also quite different from all the other 'typical' fragrances LUSH usually bring out this time of year that can be rather more sweet and slightly sickly. All in all - it's a good'un.
Cinders Bath Bomb - More from the 'bath bomb' category, and onto one that sits more in the 'typical' scent box is his little beauty. Again it's one I tried and love from last year's collection and also one I believe LUSH has been making for ages now. As the name would correctly imply, this one is a real Bonfire Night-type affair, with more warm, spicy tinges running through it. It may only be small but oh my does this pack a punch of cinnamon-y goodness, perfect for the cold, dark evenings. It's also got popping candy in it that once in your bath water you can hear crackling away and supposedly mimics the sound of an actual bonfire. Need I say any more?
Yog Nog Bath Bomb - Now onto one that is more of a new addition and it's one I picked up fresh from this year's festive range. As everyone most likely knows, LUSH already do of the same name and scent and due to its popularity of course it was only a matter of time before they expand the fragrance into a wider variety of products - this being the first. If you've ever tried the soap (I personally haven't, but have heard many a good thing), you'll know the kind of thing to expect from this, but I guess even by the name itself you get a pretty good idea. Like the above bath bomb, this features more of those spicy, warm scents again; however this time with a creamier, sweeter twist. While it does still include those warmer tinges, it also features additions such as shea butter and soya milk to not only make the whole thing a lot more indulgent but also a very well-deserved drink for your skin. Mmmhmm.
Butterbear Bath Bomb - Onto a bath bomb of the plainer variety, and whilst comparisons could at first be made to 'So White' in how it appears nothing special on the outside and yet performs magic once plonked onto your bath; this is a little different. This is one of the few bath bombs LUSH make that are catered more towards those wanting to use it for its potential skincare benefits than the exciting thrills and spills others offer. Some may recognise this from their standard line and you wouldn't be wrong. This is in fact a festive replica of their 'Butterball' Bath Bomb - exactly the same product aside from its very cute bear formation. Put this in your tub and your skin is in for a real treat - as cocoa butter starts emitting from the centre, leaving the water feeling super-silky.
Christmas Eve Bubble Bar - Finally, and this is actually one from last year's Christmas collection too, however unfortunately LUSH did not decide to bring this back for 2015's range, but while you can no longer get this (unless of course it is brought back at some point in the future!), I wanted to include it anyway as I really did love using it during last year's festive season. This bubble bar was a lovely relaxing option for those nights when neither a comforting nor refreshing scent was really applicable. I recall there being hints of ylang ylang and jasmine running through this little beauty, creating a gorgeous calm atmosphere whenever I plumped for this as an accompaniment in my bath and with iut being more of a 'mature scent, even my Mum was a fan! Someone give me a shout if LUSH ever do change their mind about this one as for me it's certainly missed in this year's festive line-up. *Insert all the sad emoji faces*.
And that just about concludes yet another Beauty Brand Favourites! As always, if there are any other beauty-based brands you fancy me covering at some point in the future under this title (as long as I do have enough faves within it to warrant a post), please do give me a shout!
They all sound so beautiful! I hope I receive a lush gift set for Christmas! xxx
