Tried and Tested: Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

I'll admit, I've never tried a sheet mask before. I've heard a heck of a lot about them and seen a fair few people using them before (whether it be in blog posts, YouTube videos or 'real life') but I was yet to pick one up and give it a whirl myself - until now. I remember seeing the hype around the new Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask when it launched recently and was initially rather intrigued... and then when I saw it on offer for only 99p at Boots - it was happening, people.  I just couldn't pass up on a deal as good as that so in my basket it went and here's how I got on when I used it for the first time...

While the whole concept of a tissue mask my at first seem a tad daunting, the process of applying, using and removing this couldn't have been any more simple and straightforward. Simply open the sachet, take out and unfold the very well-saturated mask, apply to your face, peel off the protective layer and you're good to go. As I said, the mask was very 'wet' from the product and I definitely think this helped in keeping it where it should be and preventing any mishaps - something which personally, is one of the main things which often stops me from using a mask of this kind.

The mask itself claims to intensely hydrate and revitalise the skin, giving it a radiant look and plumping out the appearance of any fine lines. having dry, dehydrated complexion - that appealed to me straight away - and I'm pleased to report that it really does live up to expectations. As the mask is so well infused, it instantly feel so moisturising on the skin and this only gets better as the 15 minute application time goes on. With my skin being a tad sensitive, I was really impressed that there was no irritation at any point during using the mask and once it came to taking it off, I was even happier. Once the mask is off, there is some residue left behind which I chose to massage into my skin - something which i figured would aid it to reap the benefits of the process even further - and I really liked the 'luxe' feeling this step gave.

Once all the product had been absorbed and my skin was fresh and clean again, I could really notice a big difference in my skin as a whole. In comparison to beforehand, my skin looked far more smooth and toned and any areas o pores or general texture had basically been erased. The mask had a definite cooling effect, with my skin feeling very calm and relaxed - again, a benefit which I love to see - and ever since, my complexion is so much more hydrated and plump and juicy - both in appearance and feeling. Can I rave about this stuff anymore? For only a pound a go, you really cannot go wrong and I will without a doubt be stocking up on a tonne more on my next trip to the Mothership (a.k.a. Boots)...
