Beauty Brand Favourites (REVISITED) - L'Oreal

Remember earlier in the year when I did this 'Revisited' style of my usual Beauty Brand Favourites posts? If you're new round these parts and have  no idea what I'm on about, then feel free to catch-up on my previous versions here, here and here - but basically, today I'm revisiting the original five products I picked out as my favourites from L'Oréal way back when and refreshing the list to match up what my top picks are right now. Funnily enough, this post is pretty much a year to the day that I first dropped in on my loves from L'Oréal in this post - not intended, promise - but I felt like the round-up could do with a refresh so without further ado, here goes...

Lumi Magique Primer - Kicking things off with face products, I finally picked up this primer from L'Oréal not too long ago after so many people raving about it and it's safe to say - I adore it just as much too. Not only is the packaging stunning, the product inside is all kinds of amazing. A lightweight base that feels super-hydrating on the skin and adds a gorgeous luminous sheen that gives off that awesome 'lit from within' glow to the complexion. It makes makeup application a dream and aids the longevity of it too.

Lumi Magique Cushion Foundation in '3' - After not being too impressed with their highly-raved-about True Match, I wasn't sure if I was going to ever fid a foundation from L'Oréal that I loved, but once this base was released earlier this year - something clicked. The first cushion foundation from the drugstore (and the first I ever tried myself), I was at first unsure of the concept, but in fact I really like it. You can easily dial up or down the coverage you want depending on how many time you 'tap' your brush or sponge into the compact and not matter how much you apply, the finish remains flawless, yet super natural looking on the skin. It's not too dewy, but isn't not completely matte - it just looks skin-like and beautiful. The only downside is that I do find it runs out fairly quickly compared to other bases. But hey, you win some you lose some...

Brow Artiste Plumper in 'Medium/Dark' - For the brows, while last time round I sang the praises of the Brow Artiste Pencil, this time round I have a different product from the range which has become my new favourite. This brow gel is an awesome offering from the drugstore and while I'm yet to try it myself, I've heard it's also a good dupe for Benefit's Gimme Brow. This stuff sets my brows into place, adds a nice tint and has tiny fibres within the formula which adds extra volume and fullness too. The brush on it is super tiny and precise and for such a bargainous offering, you really can't go wrong.

Telescopic Mascara - Eyes-wise, I have always heard amazing things about the mascaras from L'Oréal. While I have forever been loyal to Maybelline for their lash offerings, L'Oréal were always the other main brand which received major hype too. After much confusion over which to pick up, their Telescopic stood out to me as the one which I'd head the most about and oh my - am I glad I opted for it. For such a thin, 'nothing-y' brush, it somehow manages to do incredible things to my lashes. It adds amazing length and does a great job at separating the lashes out nicely with no clumping to be seen. It gives a really pretty, fluttery effect and can be worn rather subtly or built up to a proper 'false lash' finish. The small, precise brush means it also works great for lower lashline too - win, win!

Colour Riche Lip Liner Couture in 'Beige A Nu' - Last but certainly not least for the lips is this lip liner. If you've read round these parts for a good amount of time now, you may remember that in the early days, I became obsessed with the Infallible Lip Liner in 'Always Toasted'. It was the perfect nude, 'My Lips But Better'-type shade and when it was discontinued a year or so ago (boo!) it's safe to say I was a little gutted. Fortunately, I managed to find a replacement for it in the shape of this shade from their Colour Riche Lip Liner Couture range and while it will never be the exact same, it is pretty darn close. The formula is creamy, yet still hard enough to give you complete control over where you place it and also so it does act as a lip liner should. It's rich and pigmented and the shade is near enough identical to my natural lip hue and can be paired up with a whole host of lip colours. Love, love, LOVE.

And that just about concludes yet another Beauty Brand Favourites! As always, if there are any other beauty-based brands you fancy me covering at some point in the future under this title (as long as I do have enough faves within it to warrant a post), please do give me a shout!
