November: Loves and Lusts

It's the last day of November! Can you believe it? It only feels like yesterday that  I began this year's 'Loves and Lusts' editions and now we're on the second to last one! It's December TOMORROW and that of course means the start of #DitsyDecember (a.k.a. Blogmas) again but before then, let's have a little look at some of the things I've been loving and lusting after during November, eh? I've got slightly less products to talk about this time round as for some reason I just haven't been focused on trying out that much new stuff this month (probably because of the whole daily posting thang next month) but what I have found and loved - is pretty darn good let me tell you...

What I've Loved:

MUA Bronzed Perfection Matte Bronzer - First up - a new bronzer which I've been loving. You may well know if you've been round these parts for some time now that the Soap and Glory Solar Powder is my usual choice when it comes to bronzer, but when it last ran out I fancied trying something new (I know - shocking stuff) and after a good look, this was the one I plumped for. And you know what? I really rather like it. It's completely shimmer-free; nicely pigmented and is just the right mix of being warm, but still with a nice cooler undertone to it. And the pan is pretty darn huge too - I can see this stuff lasting me a good while...

Maybelline 24Hr Color Tattoo in 'Metallic Pomegranate' - Next up, I've also been really enjoying this cream shadow from good ol' Maybelline. I've had this in my collection for some time now, but as soon as the Autumn/Winter months roll round again I always reach to pull it out from the depths of my drawers once more. It's a deep, purple-y burgundy shade with gorgeous gold shimmer running through it and it just looks super stunning whether worn alone, or used as a base for other shadows to go over the top of. It's super pigmented - a little goes a long, long way - blends out easy-peasy and sets down to a finish which has amazing lasting power.

Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in 'Tiramisu' - For the lips, I've been really liking this lip liner shade from Rimmel's 1000 Kisses range. I have been all kinds of obsessed with nude lips for ages now and this certainly fits in well with that theme. It's a warm, peachy nude shade and works brilliantly with all the nude shades in my stash that have a more orangey vibe to them. As with all the lip liners from Rimmel, it's creamy and easy to apply and has great colour payoff to it aswell. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a lip liner with more of a peachy tint as opposed to the usual pinky or brown undertones.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks in 'Sandstorm' and 'Soft Spoken' - Another lip product (or two) which I've been loving are these shades from NYX's Liquid Suede line. These are kind like liquid lipsticks, but with a slightly less 'traditional' matte, matte finish. They do dry down a tad, but not as much as their Lip Lingerie's should we say - so they don't have as amazing longevity, but they still do hold up pretty well and are a tad more comfortable to wear too. Swings and roundabouts, eh? Both of these colours are nude tones (surprise, surprise) and both are gorgeous - 'Sandstorm' leans a little more on the brown side, whereas 'Soft Spoken' is a touch more pinky. What can I say? Just another lip product from NYX which I love...

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers - Another liquid lipstick which definitely lands in the 'proper variety' category are these from MUA. MUA are an awesome brand considering the bargainous price and after giving these a go this month, I certainly stand by that statement. I stumbled across them after browsing the Superdrug website a couple of weeks ago and instantly knew I wanted to give a few shades a go. I knew I wanted to try and pick up at least one red liquid lipstick to use over the Christmas period and I think I may just have found it in the shade 'Reckless' - a classic, true red. These only require maximum of two light layers to achieve full opacity and once applied, they dry down super quickly to a fully matte, slightly powdery finish that really does last well.

Barry M Nail Care - During the cooler months, my nails always tend to suffer and require a little more TLC so there's a couple of lacquers from Barry M which have been saving the day for me. Both their 'Super Mani' and 'Iron Mani' are great hydrating, nourishing treatments which work well alone, but also can be used perfectly fine as a basecoat for my usual coat of colour too. They're affordable, easy to use and while of course you can never really be totally sure of just how good a job they're doing - my nails always feel and look much stronger and healthier not only when using this, but after removing it aswell.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Hand Food - Alongside those treatment polishes, another hand care-related item is this hand cream from Soap and Glory. If you've been a reader of Dainty Ditsy for some time, you'll probably know that the Hand Food has to be my favourite hand cream I've ever tried. It's rich and hydrating, but adsorbs in no time at all and doesn't leave any sticky or greasy film on my hands afterwards. So, of course, this mini version in their 'Sugar Crush' scent (my personal favourite of all Soap and Glory fragrances) is something I have just been obsessed with all of this past month. I received it as part of a Christmas gift last year, but only now have gotten round to using it and oh my, I am in love. Gorgeous formula, gorgeous scent - what's not to like?

What I'd Love To Have:

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows - Ranging from £6.00-£9.25 per pan depending on finish - I have lusted after the single eyeshadow pans from MAC for what feels like forever now. They were the first brand I heard of to offer customisable palettes which you can build up yourself and I just loved the whole concept of it. However, I ma yet to try any MAC eyeshadows just yet and since then a few other brands have jumped on the bandwagon - Makeup Geek being one of them - and from what I've heard, they may be even better. I'm tempted, that's fo' sho'...

Primark Rose Gold Makeup Range - Various prices! - The Primark Beauty range just keeps getting more and more lust-worthy and having tried a few bits 'n' bobs from the collection a go in the past, I'm very much considering trying some more of it out soon. Especially when the latest launch is adorned in beautiful rose gold-esque packaging. I mean, who could say no to that, eh?

Anastasia Beverley Hills Ultimate Glow Kit - Around £36.00 - I've mentioned the original Anastasia Beverley Hills Glow Kits in a post (or posts) of this kind before, but this time round - it's the Ultimate version which I'm talking about. This contains a total of six highlighters in a metallic formula that's super shiny and glowy and as always with the highlighters from Anastasia, they look just so darn amazing. These powders in particular claim to be even more rich and intense than the standard highlighters from the brand and considering how well they pick up (from what I've seen), that sounds pretty darn amazing to me...

Real Techniques Bold Metals Tapered Shadow (203) Brush - £16.00 - I know, I know - Real Techniques again. If you don't know already - I just love their brushes, sponges and just anything and everything they release. I've only got one of the more premium 'Bold Metals' brushes in my stash at the moment, but I really fancy trying more and this one looks to be just the sort of thing I could do with having in my collection. I love a good fluffy eyeshadow brush for either buffing in colour into crease and outer corner or simply blending everything together to ensure no harsh lines so maybe, just maybe I'll be adding it to my stash soon.

Sleek 'Say The Word' Mini Matte Me Collection - £5.00 - Lastly for the 'Lusts' for this month (see, I said I didn't have too much going on for my November edition) is this Christmas gift set from Sleek. I have been all kinds of obsessed with liquid lipsticks all year long to be honest and the one drugstore brand which I'm yet to try yet that I'm super eager to is that of the Matte Me's from Sleek. I've heard amazing things about them and this little set of four different shades, all in miniature versions just calls out to me. It's currently sold out completely on the Boots website, but perhaps I'll be able to pick one up when I'm next in-store - which I'm sure won't be long at all...

So there we have everything for my November edition of my 'Loves and Lusts'! I hope you've had a good month and I will see you lovely lot later on today in a very special 'announcement' post... #HintHint #DitsyDecember...
