Up until a couple of days ago, I hasn't had a new piercing in three years. Three. Years. How time flies, eh? I went through a bit of a stage a few years back where I got a new piercing almost every year, but after my last one I guess I didn't have any more I really fancied getting - until now. I remember sometime last year I think the lovely Fleur De Force got a Daith Piercing (and posted a photo of it on good ol' Instagram, of course) and I instantly fell in love with it. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen or heard of it before - especially considering all the time I've spent looking at different ear piercings over the past few years - but as soon as I had, I knew I wanted to get it myself at some point. So the other day, I did exactly that...
I took the plunge a couple of days ago and I am so, so happy I finally did. I knew I wanted a ring as honestly, that was part of the main thing that appealed to me when I first saw the photo on Fleur's Instagram - and also when looking up photos of the Daith in general. Most feature a ring and I really liked how that looks, so that's what I went for and I have to admit, while I am happy with the plain one you get when it's pierced, I'm definitely looking forward to when I can change it to one of the super cute, pretty ones too. I'm prepared to wait a little while as typically, my body isn't the best when it comes to piercings and I've had various issues with all of the past ones I've had so I'm kinda expecting this one to be no different. Healing normally takes a while and I'm rather prone to a keloid
This looks so pretty - I don't know too many people that have this done either :)
