These days, I am rather into my Skincare 'stuff'. I'm still not fully there and my general routine is still pretty short and concise, but it's definitely more in-depth than how it was a good few years back. Since having a bit of an overhaul of my stash sometime last year, I have added more products and steps into my routine and just generally begun taking better care of my skin and so far, I have been super happy with how things are turning out. Recently, there was a couple of products that needed replenishing and so off I went to Boots to do exactly that - along with adding something new to me basket. I mean, what's new?
All of these items fall under the Una Brennan as at the moment, that's the brand which the majority of my routine revolves around. I sampled it last year when I first wanted to give my skincare stash an overhaul after hearing so many good reviews and I have to say, I completely agree with all of them. Every single product I've tried so far has been all kinds of awesome and so that's why I've chose to repurchase those that I've used up and give a go of something from them that I'm yet to try too. I picked up another of the Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil as I have become a huge fan ever since starting using it. I used to be all about cleansing water to remove my makeup and just generally clean my face, but nowadays - while I am still a big fan of my beloved Garnier Micellar Water - it's this cleansing gel that has become my go-to for the second step of cleansing, where I ensure everything is off my face and my complexion is fully squeaky clean. It breaks stuff down and leaves my skin feeling and looking super hydrated and glowy. Also from the same Superfacialist Vitamin C+ range, I picked up another of the Glow Boost Skin Serum. I never used to use a serum - and to be honest, I never really knew much about them - but ever since picking this up for the first time, I have been fully converted. It's great for getting that extra dose of hydration in and as you apply a light layer before your day or night cream, it works more on getting into the deeper layers of skin. This one especially has a lovely, light texture that's super quick to apply and has actually been pretty easy to integrate into my routine. While you are applying an extra layer of product, this doesn't make my skin feel like it's been overloaded or look greasy or slippery too. Last, but certainly not least - I picked up the Superfacialist Rose Brighten and Refine Facial Scrub. As you can see, this is under the same 'Superfacialist' brand - but a different collection. This was partly a needed item that I'd already thought about buying and also partly due to the 3 for 2 offer that Boots had going on - we've all been there, yanno. I haven't used a manual face scrub for what feels like the longest of times and I fancied giving one a go again so after some perusing of the drugstore aisles I decided this one was the one to go for. Fingers crossed it lives up to the high expectations of the res of the brand, eh...
