I've only really used false lashes regularly for coming up to a couple of years now. While that may sound like a while, I still feel like a bit of a newbie in the whole area, as it's took most of that time to get myself where I am now - where I don't feel too uneasy to applying them (and doing so fairly quickly too). But, I am always up for anything that could maybe make things even more foolproof and so when I spotted this Ardell False Lash Applicator in the reduced section in Superdrug a few months back (as I documented in this post here) I instantly picked it up to try and recently, I finally go round to doing just that...
It's a dual-ended situation - on one end you get a curved applicator to grip the lashes and place them where you want them to be and then an angled tip to help press and secure them into place and 'mesh' them with your natural lashes and lashline. I like how you get everything in one and so I had fairly high hopes that it would maybe, just maybe, be an even better alternative then my normal pair of tweezers that I would typically reach to for both doing both of those tasks. As I said, I finally cracked it out this weekend when I went on a night out with some of my favourite girlies and you know what? I was pretty darn impressed. I used the Fleur De Force X Eylure 'Fleur and Fabulous' Lashes (some of my absolute favourites for full, dramatic, but fluttery lashes) and together, they seemed to work together pretty well. I normally find that Eylure lashes are some of the easiest and most reliable when it comes to applying anyway, but there was something about this lash applicator that made the process even more seamless. In one attempt both lashes were on (I know, I was shocked and proud of myself in equal measures), placed where I wanted them to be and fully secured into place - ready for partying the night away. That sounds so much more cringe written down that it sounded in my head, but that's beside the point as what I'm trying to say is - this lash applicator is bloomin' fab. I'm pretty pleased I picked it up, especially at such a bargainous price too...
