Two Additions To My Haircare Routine...

As the title of this post very aptly suggests, recently I've added a couple of new products/tools to my Haircare Routine and so far, so good - I'm really happy with them. So, I thought it was about time I gave them a little shout-out on this 'ere blog to your lovely lot...

First up, I recently tried out a new heat protecting spray on my tresses - specifically, the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Spray. As you probably already know, in terms of defending my hair from heat, my go-to for a while now has been the original heat protection spray from Tresemme. And when perusing my stash the other day, when my last bottle of the stuff was well on its way out, I came across this version. I think I got this as part of a gift set one Christmas/Birthday a couple of years back and have yet to get round to giving it a go - until now, that is. I was pretty confident that I'd like it, as I love the original so much and you know what? I really do like it so far. It's basically like the classic version, just perhaps just that little bit more catered towards nourishing the hair, aswell as effectively shielding it from the damaging effects of heat. Of course, you can never really be wholly sure of how well something like a heat protection spray is actually working, but as for how shiny my hair looks and how soft and smooth it feels right now - I'd say that it's doing a good job...
The other change I've made to my Haircare Routine lately is this brush. Again, as you'll probably already know by now, the Wet Brush is my favourite hairbrush when it comes to brushing my hair, whether wet or dry. However, though I love it for brushing though my hair, it's not safe to use with a hairdryer to actually style it, so I decided to have a little look to see if they offer anything else that's the same kind of thing, but that you can actually use when you're drying your hair - and then I saw this! This is the Wet Brush Speedy Dry Brush - basically like a Wet Brush, but made for heat styling. It's got those same super-flexible bristles that make it glide through the hair easy-peasy, but they're heat-resistant this time, so you can use it with your hairdryer, without worrying about damaging your brush! It's also got  a slightly curved shape which fits to your scalp nicely and cut out vents, meaning your hair will dry faster and so effectively, you're using much less heat on your hair too! I've used it a couple of times and so far, I'm really enjoying it - definitely recommended if, like me, you love the Wet Brush and want something like it to use when you're blow-drying your hair!
