I haven't actually done a Polish Pick in a little while. I guess, for the past couple of weeks I haven't really tried any new polishes, or polish combinations, so there hasn't been anything to update you lovely lot on - at least until now, that is. I layered a couple of old favourites recently and really liked the finished effect, so I figured I better share it with you all. Let's take a closer look...
Firstly, I started with a base of an oldie, but goldie - the Maybelline Super Stay Nail Polish in 'Nude Rose'. A gorgeous light, pinky-nude colour, this is perfect if you want something more subtle and 'natural' - but we all know what I'm like - I wanted to give it a little, sparkly twist. So, I went in with my usual two layers to build up the colour so it works as a good base, before layering over the top with a slightly more recent addition to my collection, that I'm already loving - the Barry M Glitter Nail Paint in 'Fairy Dust'. A bronzey-nude glitter at first glance, yes, but look a little closer and you'll see the gorgeous flecks of iridescent green running through it. The pigmentation on this is also so good, if you're using this as a topper, you only really need one layer to give good level of coverage. Used over the top of 'Nude Rose', this just gives what we at first deem a 'standard', neutral nail colour and giving it a super-pretty, glittery update! I'm so, so happy with how this look came out!
