If you've read round these parts for some time, you may know that Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau De Toilette is my favourite, go-to perfume. For a good three years or so now, it's all I've worn perfume-wise and basically, put simply - I love it. However, whilst I still adore it, I finally fancied a change when my last bottle ran out a couple of weeks ago. So, after much research and deliberation - I decided to pick up the Ghost Deep Night Eau De Toilette.
A super-popular perfume that I've heard lots about in the past and on looking it up online, it seemed to match my 'perfume preferences'. I definitely have a type that I always like and gravitate towards when it comes to picking perfumes - sweet, but also very musky and slightly floral at the same time. Basically, all of the attributes of my favourite Daisy Perfume. So, I soon went into my local Boots to give it a sniff and see whether I actually liked it in real life and you know what? I loved it. Like, really loved it. As soon as I spritzed a little onto my wrists I felt I was onto a good'un and after giving it a few minutes to settle in (during which I had a little look round the makeup aisle, obvs) - I knew it was the one I had to go for. It's a little deeper and more musky than Daisy and isn't as overtly 'floral', but still has a similar, vanilla-ry sweetness to it. I feel this is almost like the more 'grown-up' version of Daisy and so far, I'm loving it. I knew I'd end up going for something very much aligned with Daisy as like I said, I have a certain type of perfume scent that I like and is 'me', but you can definitely notice the difference between the two and for me, it just makes a nice change to use something else. Who knows - maybe this might become my new holy grail? We'll have to wait and see...
