Tried and Tested: #ZoellaBeauty - The Fruits Collection

It's become quite the tradition round these parts for me to buy, try and review every new range from Zoella Beauty. Ever since the first launch way back in 2014, through to her annual Summer Ranges every year after that - I have tried and tested them all. If you fancy a look, check them out here! And, with the sad news not too long ago that this Summer's collection would be the very last for the brand, ever (you can find my round-up of everything that I did not too long ago here) I just couldn't miss out on keeping up the tradition and round things up nicely. It kind of feels like we've come full circle - from me trying out the very first range five years ago, to the last, half a decade later. However, picking up this range wasn't just due to the sentimental value - it also sounds and looks pretty awesome too! Introducing - The 'Fruits' Collection...

As you may guess from the name, this is a super-fruity themed range! Probably the most fruity of all of the collections from the brand, ever. However, possibly the next mot differentiate thing about this range from any other of Zoella Beauty is the fact tat for this one, there's not just one scent. You know usually with Zoella Beauty, they'll be one scent that runs throughout every product in that particular range? Well, not this time! This time round, each product has a different fruit that it's themed around - and so, a completely unique scent too! So, of the three products I decided to pick up - we've got the 'Banana Foam' Body Wash (£6.00), 'Berry Jam' Body Scrub (£6.00) and the 'Peach' Body Sorbet (£6.00)!

First up, let's start with the 'Banana Foam' Body Wash, yeah? Out of all three items I picked up, this was the one I was perhaps the most excited to try. I love, love, LOVE a good ol' fake banana-type flavour. Whether it be foam bananas, a good ol' McDonald's Banana Milkshake and basically just anything with that banana-but-not-banana type taste. However, I don't think I'd ever tried anything with that same thing, but as a scent - until now, that is. I was so excited to give this a go as I had a hunch it'd be that sort of thing - and I was right! This smells just like a good ol' foam banana and I love it. The scent itself is pretty strong and accurate and though it doesn't linger on the skin for long, I can still definitely smell it whilst in the bath. And to be fair, it is only a body wash, so naturally will be washed off the skin for the most part after a while anyway. Talking of that, as a body wash I'd say this one works pretty well! Though a liquid in the packaging, it pumps out of the dispenser as a foam - super fun, right? It lathers up on damp skin really nicely and cleanses thoroughly, whilst never leaving my skin feeling stripped or dry in anyway at the same time. All in all, I think this one gets the thumbs up from me!

Next up, we have the 'Berry Jam' Body Scrub! If you've read any of my reviews of previous Zoella Beauty ranges, I don't think you'll be surprised that I picked up this one. I really enjoy most body scrubs released by Zoella Beauty. Admittedly, the one that come in the pot format typically turn out to be my favourite - 'Pretty Polished' will always be my ultimate go-to - but I was still very much up for trying this one out. So, starting off with all things scent-wise, this is really nice. So fresh, sweet, but not overpowering - it really is almost like putting raspberry jam on your skin! So, I really like the scent and I also really like how convenient the squeezey bottle is for just dispensing a little in your palm and being good to go. However, I have to admit that the formula of this isn't my favourite. As I feared, this just isn't as good and 'scrubby' as any body scrubs from Zoella Beauty I've tried that come in a tub. It does do something, just not a lot and it's a shame as I love the scent! I never want my body scrubs to be harsh or too much, but usually from Zoella Beauty you can get ones which are more 'scrubby' but still feel so gentle on my skin at the same time - and I'm afraid, this one just veers too much on the latter end of the spectrum.

So, lastly - we come to the 'Peach' Body Sorbet. I know what you're thinking - body sorbet? I was thinking the same when I first saw this product - but hear me out. This is basically like a body lotion, but lighter. And you know what, I really like this product! It really does nourish and hydrate the skin, leaving it feeling so supple and smooth - but it sinks into the skin in no time at all. Like, I'm talking the quickest I've ever experienced with any body cream, lotion or butter - whatever. It also feels so lightweight that it almost feels as if you've applied nothing at all. But you know by how soft and sheen-ey your skin looks and feels both immediately and afterwards that you most definitely have! If that wasn't enough - I also really love the scent for this one too. I'm not often a lover of peach fragrances as they can be a tad artificial-ish and sickly, but this one just smells so much more 'natural', you know? It's also quite light and not too overpowering - which is great, seeing as it's a body lotion that will sit on the skin and hence, stick around scent-wise for longer too. I think this may be my favourite product I tried from this range!

So, overall another pretty decent collection from Zoella Beauty and as always, I already know I've definitely found some new favourites from trying it out! What a shame the brand is soon coming to an end and that this time, next year, there won't be an annual Summer Range - boo! Let's enjoy it while it lasts, eh?
