April: The Love List

So, here we are - at the end of April already - and it's time, once again to give you lovely lot a round-up of all things beauty that I've been loving throughout the past month! A real mixture of makeup, skincare and nail polishes this time round and of course, all products I'm utterly obsessed with. Let's gets started...

REVOLUTION X TAMMI 'TROPICAL CARNIVAL' PALETTE - Starting with good ol' Makeup - I have to give a shout-out to this palette right here! Seen as I already love and use the first Tammi X Revolution 'Tropical Paradise' Palette a hell of a lot, it was a no-brainer that I'd pick up her second one - the 'Tropical Carnival'. And, after a thorough testing and finally getting to proper grips with it - I have to say that I really rather like it. As I said, it requires more of a particular application technique than the first palette, but once you nail that, you're set. The pigmentation of the shadows is great, they're pretty easy to blend and all of the colours work together really nicely too! I love the all super-colourful colour scheme for creating really bright and bold looks and so far, I've found the possibilities are pretty endless when it comes to all of the looks you can create!

MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA - A rediscovery for this month comes from Maybelline and this pretty-awesome mascara! I love, love, LOVED this back when I first launched a few years ago - as I remember basically everyone else did too. I stayed firmly on the bandwagon for a while, before quickly falling off when the next best things lash-wise came around. I know, I know. I have dabbled with this lash offering a handful of times since, but the old pattern of trying something new and exciting always emerged. However, when my last mascara ran out recently I finally decided it was time to jump aboard the Lash Sensational hype train again - and so far, so good! I love it just as much as before. Lots of length, volume, thickness (but also separation at the same time) and a finish that stays looking just as good all day long too...

BEAUTY BAY EYE BRUSHES - I finally decided it was time to try some new eye brushes recently and a few of the single ones from Beauty Bay caught my attention. And, I'm pretty glad they did - I really like them all! The flat shadow brushes I picked up especially have quickly become my new go-to's for packing on that shimmer onto the lid and getting it really poppin'. For such affordable brushes, they all feel and look such nice quality and it's the same story as for how they work too. All of them that I've tried deliver on the eyeshadow application front just as good as I'd hope them to and they also wash up really nicely and easily too. Seriously, I've spot-cleaned them all a fair few times now (having used them so much already and with such a variety of colours) and so far, I've had no issues at all. They all clean up looking virtually brand new again. Yay!

BARRY M MOLTEN METAL NAIL PAINT IN 'CRYSTAL BLUE' - Moving onto all things Nails - I have a trio of awesome new colours that I've been wearing and loving all month long! Ever since my last nail polish declutter, I've been in the market for adding some new colours into my collection where I felt there were gaps in my stash - hence me picking up all of these colours here! And this first one I absolutely adore. You all know I already love the Barry M Molten Metals range and this shade has always called my name - so I finally decided to give it a go. And I'm pretty pleased I did, because I love it! A gorgeous teal blue metallic, but with silvery shimmer running through it. Perfect for Spring/Summer!

RIMMEL SUPER GEL NAIL POLISH IN 'ICE LOLLY' - Another new lacquer that I bought recently, tried out this month and I have to admit looks pretty ideal for the upcoming Spring/Summer months too is this one from Rimmel. I was after the perfect pinky-coral to add to my collection after decluttering my favourite one that had gone funny - and I couldn't directly repurchase due to it not being sold anymore (boo!) - and this one seemed a pretty decent replacement. And you know what, it really is! This is such a super pretty, salmon-y pink with the 'traditional' creme finish that applies and dries with a really glossy, high-shine finish - and I find stuck around without chipping for a while too! What's not to love? Again, a colour I can envisage myself wearing all the damn time over Summer - yay!

RIMMEL 60 SECONDS NAIL POLISH IN 'WILD-ER-NESS' - The third and final polish comes again from Rimmel - but a different range this time! I've actually tried and enjoyed this '60 Seconds' formula years ago, so when I spotted this colour I wasn't at all hesitant in picking it up to add to my stash. This sort of colour was another that I really wanted to find as a replacement for an oldie-but-goldie that has gone off and is no longer sold and I'd say I did a pretty good job of doing so with this one. A blue-toned, pastel lilac - again, exactly the sort of colour I reach for during the warmer months! The formula of this is also just as good as I remember. Opaque in two coats, dries quickly, with a really glossy finish too...

GARNIER SKINACTIVE FRESH-MIX TISSUE MASKS - Lastly for April, I have a couple of new face masks that I really enjoyed using! I already know and love the original Garnier Tissue Masks and so, when I saw they were coming out with these - I knew I had to give them a try. I've given both a try - and already picked up two new ones - so I think that might give you a little clue as to what I thought of them. Plus that they're being featured in this post, but anyway. Basically, I really like them! They're just like the classic tissue masks from Garnier - just that you do them yourself! Simply fold up the packaging, give it a squeeze to mix the fluid wit the dry mask, leave to sink in for a minute or so and you're good to go! Both masks left my skin feeling and looking so nice both immediately and a while afterwards and I just really enjoyed the whole 'DIY' aspect of getting the mask good to go only when you're ready to use it. Don't get me wrong, I still love a good 'old-fashioned' tissue mask, but I really liked this format too!

So, those were all of the beauty items I've been loving over the month of April! I real mixture of makeup, tools, skincare - you name it - this time round, and all products that have kinda become my new obsessions! Seriously, if you haven't tried any of them already, I'd definitely suggest you do so, asap...
