Remember a few weeks ago when I tried the new Barry M Crystal Rocks Textured Nail Paint range for the first time? In short - I loved the shade and I equally loved the formula - something I was pretty happy about as I already had another colour from the collection ready to try. And the other day I finally got round to giving it a go...
This is the shade 'Red Jasper' - isn't it just stunning? A gorgeous true, rich red with gold shimmer running through it - super glam and also very appropriate for the upcoming festive/party season! Like the other shade I used before, this applied fully opaque in two coats, dried quickly and as the name of the range suggests, sets down to a more 'matte' glitter effect - where it's super shimmery, but kinda rough to the touch. Again, I do prefer how it looks with a top coat layered over the top (it still kinda keeps some of that texture, whilst just making things a little smoother and more glossy-looking and I also find it to help bring out the gorgeous glitter even more so) so that's something to bear in mind, but overall I just love, love, LOVE this colour. Like I said, whilst I'd obviously wear it anytime, all year round, I just know I'll be coming back to it once Christmas comes around very soon. Red and Gold are classic Christmasey colours after all! Who knows, maybe this lacquer might even make it as part of my actual Christmas Day nails this year,..
