The good thing about an eyeshadow palette is the versatility. Generally, the more shades, the more you can do with it - right? But actually, that not only applies to using it as actual eyeshadow - but also, if you employ it in other ways too! Depending on the colours and finishes you have inside, there's endless possibilities...
AS EYESHADOW (OF COURSE!) - The obvious one, but still one I had to throw in here nevertheless. Like I said at the very start of this post, the thing I love the most about a good eyeshadow palette is the versatility -first and foremost, when it comes to using it on your eyes. From the different colour combinations you can put together, to various shapes and styles you can create from the different finishes you often get inside - it's easy to see why I have such a vast collection of them...
TO FILL IN YOUR BROWS - Got a matte shadow inside that matches your brow (or the colour/s you use on your brows in your usual products) perfectly? Try taking some on a firm, angled brow brush to fill them in! Just make sure it's completely shimmer-free (cause no one wants glittery brows yanno) and you'll be good to go!
TO CONTOUR - Another one for any matte formulas in your palettes - contouring! Got a shade in there that matches up to your usual contour colour? Give it a try! Or maybe if there's another slightly lighter (but still ashy) colour in there - that'd be a great choice for sculpting the nose. I know sometimes nose contouring on a more fair skin-tone can be a little difficult when using you normal contour product as it can come off a little too dark and harsh (even when using the smallest amount and lightest hand to apply), but if you actually have a snoop around your eyeshadow palettes you may come across a wider selection of options!
TO ADD SOME COLOUR/GLOW ON THE FACE - I know using eyeshadow palette shades on the face can be a little difficult - getting a bigger brush in those smaller pans and all that - but if you can make it work, you can easily utilise some shades for bronzer, blush and highlight! With this, both mattes and shimmers are fair game (depending on whether you usually like a matte or shimmery blush or bronzer) and of course, with highlighters - the glowier, the better! Just pick your colours you like (or are similar to what you'd usually use) and get going. Highlighter may work best for this as you typically use a smaller, more precise brush - and so can possibly get in the pan a little easier - but I thought the whole cheek aspect overall was a good one to throw in here!
TO HELP MATCH YOUR EYES AND LIPS - Finally, a one for the Lips! Have you done your whole face of makeup and stilling wanting your eyes and lips to tie in together a little more? Take the smallest amount (like, I mean the smallest amount) of one - possibly the main - shade you used on your eyes on your fingertip and rub it gently over your lip colour and you'll hopefully find your overall look to instantly come together!
