Tried and Tested: Revolution Conceal and Define Infinite Concealer

Ever since its launch back in January 2018, Revolution's Conceal and Define has been my staple concealer. Whether it be the original edition that was released back then, or the more hydrating Conceal and Hydrate that was later added to the line-up - I'll rarely use anything else. Therefore, when I saw they were releasing the Conceal and Define Infinite Concealer - I knew I had to pick it up to give it a try. In essence, this is basically the even more full coverage version of the original Conceal and Define - which sounded pretty good to me as personally, I find the classic C&D pretty full coverage already! So, I've been testing and trying it out these past couple of weeks or so and I feel it's time to share my thoughts...

Like I just said, I really enjoy the concealers from Revolution. The original Conceal and Define is a great full coverage concealer with a demi-matte finish. It blends out really well, sits nice and smoothly on the skin, feels fairly comfortable and lightweight and lasts all day and night long. Then, the Conceal and Hydrate is basically the same kinda deal - just with a slightly more satin finish and (of course) hydrating formula! In the end, I have perhaps come to slightly prefer the Conceal and Hydrate as my more normal/dry skin type does align a little closer to its dewier, more nourishing formulation - but in all honesty, I love and use both pretty equally. So, this new Infinite version really interested me and I just had to give it a go!

This was released in both a smaller and larger size - and I decided to plump for the former as I was obviously unsure whether I'd enjoy it and didn't want to be disappointed and then stuck with a massive amount of product I wasn't going to use much, if at all. And at only £6 for 5ml of product, the smaller size really isn't a bad deal either! I also picked up the shade 'C1' - which is the shade I typically wear in all of my concealers from Revolution - and I've found it to be a pretty perfect match. So, if you've got a certain shade that you use for any of their previous concealers, you should hopefully be able to pick up the same colour - which is really good!

But, what do I actually think of the concealer itself? Well, so far - I really rather like it! To me, it's basically like the same formula as the original Conceal and Define Concealer, just with even more coverage. It blends out so easily, looks so smooth on the skin and lasts pretty impeccably throughout the day - all things which I experience with the classic C&D! It's also got that same demi-matte finish that kinda sets down a little on the skin after blended in - however, of course, I still like to 'properly' set it afterwards with powder. Though more matte in texture, it doesn't look dry or cakey at all on the skin and instead, feels so lightweight and comfortable. Once set (or 'baked') into place, it keeps its coverage and doesn't crease at all. It really has just got that extra, next level of full coverage from the original Conceal and Define. Like, the original is full coverage but the Infinite is like the fullest of full - if you get what I mean? So, maybe if you enjoyed the original Conceal and Define Concealer, but maybe want even more on the coverage level - or maybe if you found the Conceal and Define wasn't full coverage enough for you - I think this new version may well be up your street! I personally will continue to use both the original Conceal and Define and the Conceal and Hydrate as ( love and get along with both of those formulas, but if I'm after the former - just amped up even more on the coverage level - this will certainly be a concealer I'll pick up again!
