If there's one beauty product I never imagined I'd be trying from Soap and Glory - it's a hair mask. Because, as you probably know, they're the sort of brand more famous for their awesome bath and body products than anything else. But, in recent years they've certainly started branching out into other departments. A while ago it was Makeup (and I still adore their Solar Powder Bronzer), then Skincare (their facial SPF is another firm favourite of mine) and more recently, it seems Haircare is on the agenda! I think the brand's first full haircare range came out sometime last year and though it definitely interested me, I never got round to giving anything ago. However, when I was very luckily gifted their bumper Christmas Gift Set this Christmas just gone, I noticed one of the items was in there! And it honestly could not have been any more of a perfect fit for me - a hydrating, deep conditioning hair mask...
Introducing - the 'Wonditioner' Conditioning Hair Mask! Like I said, I was super happy to see this inside of the gift set as if there was anything that particularly stood out to me at the time of the collection releasing last year - it was probably this product. I love me a good hair mask after all! Having more dry hair that's bleached and has heat used on it pretty frequently - keeping my tresses as hydrated, nourished and well taken care of as possible is of upmost importance to me. And one way I really like to do that is to slather on a deep conditioner or hair mask at least once a week. So, when my last tub I was making my way through got all used up a couple of weeks back - I knew it was finally time to give this one from Soap and Glory a try! But, what do I think?
I've used it a couple of times so far and so far - I really like it! It's certainly very different from other hair masks I've used in the past, but I wouldn't say that was a bad thing at all. Inside the tub is a super thick (like, so thick it's almost solid), pink-coloured, creamy consistency. It honestly kinda looks like one of their body butters, just rosey-tinged! And that feeling kinda continues as you start actually applying it on the hair too. It really feels like a similar kind of texture that you have to scoop out of the tub and only really starts to liquify slightly when in contact with the skin - or in this case, your hair! And especially in this case - with your hair being slightly damp - that really works well. The slight pink colour remains even when your slather this stuff onto your tresses, but rest assured - it does not impact on the colour of your hair at all! I leave it to do its magic as I normally would with any other deep conditioner or hair mask (I like to leave them on for as long as possible) and so far - I love what it does to my hair! It's so easy and quick to rinse out and doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy, product-laden or greasy at all and I also really think the super rich, thick formula is a winner here as every time I've used it, my tresses not only looks super shiny, but they also feel so soft, smooth and supple aswell. Basically, my hair feels like its had some proper, lovely TLC and as I mentioned earlier - that's exactly what I'm after in a product like this! All in all, I think I may have found a new favourite hair mask...
