6 Things I Love About Warm-Toned Eyeshadows...

I feel like I'd be alright in saying that pretty much everyone loves (or at least can appreciate) a good, warm-toned eyeshadow. Over the years, it's become the undertone that most people sway towards when picking shadows, putting together eye looks and just generally applying their makeup and while I am open to all types, shades and tones of colours - warms are definitely some of my favourites. Wanna know why? Keep on reading...
  1. THEY'RE SO. DARN. PWETTY. But, seriously, they really are. They're the sort of colours that just looks so pretty in the pan and even prettier on the eyes and just seem to look equally awesome on practically everyone. What more can you ask for, eh?
  2. THEY'RE EASY TO WEAR... I'm all about being able to make virtually any makeup look wearable, as long as it's done right and you're confident in rocking it but there's something about warm tones on your eyes that just marries together perfectly and kinda does all of the hard work for you. And at the end of the day - isn't that what we all want from our makeup, at least on an everyday, 'gotta go to work'-type basis?
  3. YOU CAN FIND THEM VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE... I definitely feel like this is one which has gradually happened (or at least vastly improved) over time as nowadays, you cannot move for the amount of warm eyeshadows there are floating about. You can find them as singles, nestled inside palettes and you can even get your hands on entire palettes centered wholly around them and I for one - love it. Not only that, but you can get your hands on them at a variety of different brands, stores and price-points - making them super-accessible for us all to try out.
  4. THEY SUIT A WHOLE HOST OF LOOKS... No matter what style of shadow you want that day, warm tones just seem to work with them all. Whether you're going for something a little more crisp and clean-cut (like a cut crease) or something with more of a grunge-y type feel (like a classic smokey eye) - you can bet your bottom dollar that your warm brows, reds and oranges are gonna be perfect for it. They bring the definition if that's what you're going for, but once blended out they also just naturally have that smokey, 'burnt' effect that goes hand in hand for if you're going for something a little more hazy.
  5. THEY REALLY COMPLEMENT BLUE/GREEN EYES. Though I did say how warm tones can be worn by everyone (which they totally can), I find them to be even more impactful on blue, green or hazel eyes (like my own). There's just something about those oranges, reds, pinks, rich browns that  - once applied at the lashline of a blue or green eye colour - that just makes them pop and look even more vibrant and intense. Try it out if you fall into that eye colour category - you'll soon see what I mean...
  6. THEY'RE SUPER 'ON TREND' RIGHT NOW. Last, but certainly not least - hear me out on this one. What I basically mean is that, warm tones are super, duper popular right now and as a result, you can find them everywhere and also find reviews, tutorials and just general bangin' eye looks everywhere you turn too. If you're after creating a look that leans more on the warmer end of the spectrum, you certainly won't be sort of inspiration...
