Polish Pick - Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in 'Pink Boom'

I love a good pink nail polish. Basically ever since the start of time - or at least starting to wear nail polish - I have always gravitated towards pink as a nail colour and I feel like I always will have a soft spot for those rosey tones on my nails. In recent years though, I've definitely shifted slightly from the brighter, Barbie-esque pinks that I used to wear all of the darn time to deeper, slightly more muted-ish colours with a bit more depth to them. But, I guess I've regressed back to my old self lately as this nail polish has become a firm favourite of mine.
This is another stunning shade from Maybelline and their awesome 'Color Show' Range - this time, the colour 'Pink Boom' And it definitely more than lives up to the name as it really is a proper bold, statement colour that makes a big impact. Yanno those 'Barbie'-type tones that I said I was deviating away from up until now? Well, this is certainly one of those colours that you could just picture Barbie herself rocking on an everyday basis - a bright, blue-based candy pink. A traditional creme finish with no glitter of shimmer, the colour itself is the statement here and I love it. The formula itself is just s awesome as I've come to expect from all of the lacquers from Maybelline - thick, but not too thick, easy to apply, opaque in two coats and with a super-shiny finish; even without a top coat. What more could you want from a nail polish, eh? Combined with the super pretty colour, I can see this becoming a go-to this Summer.
