After watching one too many Skincare Routine videos I got a bit of an itch when it came to extending my own list of lotions and potions that I just needed to scratch. And scratch it I did, with the addition of two new products to my skincare shelf. When in Superdrug this week repurchasing face wipes (don't judge - sometimes they're necessary) and eye makeup remover pads (also sometimes necessary) I thought I'd have a little look at what else was on offer for me to give a whirl.
The first I picked up isn't technically a new product, but it's one that I haven't used in a while. I used the Nivea 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner some time ago when I first wanted to get into a proper skincare routine and I remember being really happy with how it a) didn't upset my super-sensitive skin and b) managed to really give it a good deep clean without stripping it back and still keeping it moisturised and hydrated. I remember finishing the bottle and just never getting round to repurchasing, as I moved onto my faithful Bioderma which knocked it off its top spot, but now I've had a little taste of the other side, I feel I'm ready to introduce this back into my stash.
The second addition to my skincare shelf I picked up completely for the first time and I believe it's a new product in the range (most likely considering the massive 'NEW' label stuck on the bottle - dur). The Superdrug Vitamin E skincare range itself isn't new to me - its day and night creams were the ones I'd previously used before my current ones - so I was hoping for good things from anything else I tried. The Moisture Boost Serum intrigued me, as before now I hadn't tried a proper serum before. However, a few YouTube videos later and I was eager to pick one up and this one caught my eye. I've only used it a few times but so far all is going well and I have noticed the difference that using this twice a day before my day or night cream has made to my skin. It feels a lot more hydrated and plump and I find a layer of this plus my day cream provides a really nice base for any makeup going on top of it.
