The Perfect Nude Lippie For Me

You can nearly always count on good 'ole Rimmel for a good product launch. Just over the last few months we've had the Rita Ora collaboration which has spawned many a 'I Need That In My Life' nail shade, the release of some fab newbies to the Lasting Finish Range which I've already raved about here and a mascara which has Argan Oil in it to condition your lashes and define them at the same time. Who would've thought it? Anyway, back to the task in hand - and their latest drop to their ever-growing cosmetics collection - the Lasting Finish By Kate Nude Lipstick Collection. Yeah, its as dreamy as it sounds...

The whole premise of this newest range is to basically cater for every skin tone out there, allowing each to find their own perfect nude lippie for them. Across the launch is five shades in total - spanning from nudes at the creamier end of the colour spectrum all the way to those at the darker, richer end of the scale. Pale-skinned or darker-skinned; cool or warm toned - Rimmel have you covered here. When I first went to the display, there was a little colour chart-type thing mapping out what lipstick supposedly would match you the best depending on your criteria. However, after matching myself up accordingly, I wasn't so sure of what was suggested so instead did a little swatchy-swatchy and came up with the shade '45' (oh I do wish Rimmel would actually name their products).

I applied my personal favourite method of choice when it comes to selecting a good nude lippie and went for the one which looked the closest match to my natural lip shade. '45' was the one for me - almost my lips but more rosey-tinted, and lacquering on in such a way that it evens my pout out, leaving a creamy, glossy finish behind that whilst might not be the most long-lasting, is easily made up if you consider that the colour is easily to reapply.

I think I may just have found my perfect 'MLBB' shade. Any other nude-lippie-loving ladies on the hunt for theirs? Listen up...
