It's no secret that I love my storage. Sometime in last year's #DitsyDecember I documented my very-well-used MUJI set-up that I employ for housing all my makeup goodies, and I have various less-documented-on-the-blog-but-still-very-appreciated ones all round my bedroom that I just could not be without (true story). So when I finally took the plunge and heaved the system below home from town all by myself, excitedly unwrapped it and started to fill it all up - I just couldn't help myself sharing it with you lovely lot. Yes, I may not look like much from the outside, but I've actually had this type of storage unit in mind for a long time, even down to the details of where to get it, at what price and where it can live in my bedroom. Yes, I really am that sad.
Say hello to this little beauty from Wilkinson - their Graphite Slim 2 Draw Storage Unit (LINKED HERE). This was the one that I'd happily set my heart on for a while, before finally deciding that now was the best time to get it sometime last week. I wanted an area that could store any 'new' items that were unopened and waiting in the wings to replace what I currently had on-the-go. I also had a few little bits and pieces like face masks that I just couldn't find a proper home for so thought if I found the right until they could hopefully be housed there too. Shall I give you a little tour? Let's do this...
Starting from the top, we have all my 'Mask'-type items, including ones from my beloved Montagne Jeunesse and also a foot mask thingy that is just such an essential in the Winter months when my feet are more than likely as dry as a Sahara Desert. In the back I also keep my nose strips - that if I'm honest I used much more back in my pre-nose-piercing days but I still like to keep anyway - and a few Cucumber Eye Pads that I've used for years and love for when I'm feeling extra puffy round my peepers. I then have all of my Blog Sale bits (If you do fancy a gander at what I've still got on offer, click here). I was just keeping them on display as I had nowhere else to put them, but after finding them to collect increasingly more dust I knew the time was right to move them to another home.
In the third draw down I keep any Skincare back-ups - including my Simple Day and Night Cream duo for when my current duo bite the beauty dust, another pack of my well-loved and appreciated Superdrug Sensitive Face Wipes (which I never actually use for my face anymore, but like them for any 'clearing up' during the whole makeup application process) and another Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro Primer which I talked about here in yesterday's post. The fourth draw houses some Haircare bits 'n' bobs including a L'Oreal Heat Protectant that I also mentioned in my haul yesterday, an Argan Oil Hair Treatment which I need to keep handy to remind myself to actually use it and another of my OGX Coconut Water Weightless Hydration Oil that you'll know if you're a regular round these parts that I love, love, LOVE. Then we have the fifth and final draw which is more of a 'Miscellaneous' type that I'm kinda keeping wide open for now, only storing a couple of things at the moment, to see what bits and pieces find themselves into it sometime in the future. Ooh, mysterious...
