Shall we just begin to call Thursday's 'Haul Days'? As if you're an avid reader of #AllMonthAugust - no doubt you'd have seen last weeks edition of my most recent dash around the aisles of Boots here, and yes, you guessed it - yesterday I once again found myself perusing the aisles of the Mothership, slowly but surely adding some items to my basket. I came, I saw, I hauled - and here is the aftermath...
I needed to pick up a couple of 'replacements' of a fair few things so went straight to the makeup section to repurchase another Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro Primer that I love, love, LOVE. If you haven't already heard me rave about Rimmel and why they're just so darn good primer-wise in the drugstore market - click here - but for those of you who have I'll save me sounding like a broken record and simply conclude that if you're yet to try this primer (or simply any of the ones that Rimmel offer) - do so, now. You won't regret it. I also (perhaps a TMI topic, but gonna include it anyway) went back to pick up some more 'heads' for my razor, though once I got to the stand I remembered how actually could do with a new razor itself, so ended up plumping for the same Gillette Venus Spa Breeze Razor that I always use. After Zoella mentioning it in a video yonks back, I took the plunge and haven't looked back since.
Moving onto the newbie additions to my beauty stash and from the topic of haircare, I picked up two items. I needed to get another of the Batiste Dry Shampoo, from the range that boasts 'a hint of colour' in order to help add a slight tin to your hair - perfect for covering up any root growth in-between visits to the salon. I already own the other two shades - the 'Light and Blonde' (which I used to use when I was getting the top section of my hair coloured/bleached blonder) and the 'Medium and Brunette' that I picked up more recently now I've decided to grow my natural roots out and keep the caramel-to-blonde section concentrated on the ends of my hair to start to create a slight 'ombre/dip dye' effect. However, I found this shade to still be rather light and not do such a good job of covering the harsh line between my natural colour and start of the caramel as I was hoping, so this time round I went for the darkest colour available - 'Dark and Deep Brown' - to see if this will be an improvement in anyway. Fingers crossed!
Finally, I also picked up another heat protectant spray as my current one in rotation (Got2B's Guardian Angel) is coming to the end of its life so I wanted to get ahead and have another ready and waiting in the wings for when it finally does disperse its last spritz. I wanted to try something new as I've been repurchasing Got2B's offering for as long as I can remember so went for the L'Oreal Studio Line Hot Straight Spray. I remember Suzie from Hello October mentioning the heat protectant cream from this range somewhere in a video of hers a while back and thought it was a collection perhaps sampling something from, so let's hope it lives up to my expectations. I guess three's only one way to find out, eh...
