Like many a time before, just yesterday I went into my local branch of the Mothership (a.k.a. Boots) and as always - stuff happened. By stuff, I obviously mean that I picked up a fair few things, paid for them and brought them home - and now it's time to reflect on my purchases and bundle them up into one big, fat haul for you guys. Read? Let's get started...
First things first I picked up something I mentally added to my 'Need To Repurchase ASAP' list - the OGX Coconut Water Weightless Hydration Oil. If you've read my blog before, you'll know how I've banged on about the Coconut Water range from OGX for a while now, having discovered its amazing-ness a few months back, and still now I am feeling it - and I think my hair is too. And while the shampoo and conditioner are still going strong, the oil is nearing its last legs and so I thought now was a good time to pick up a back-up so I'm fully prepared for when that day comes. My hair can be pretty darn dry sometimes most of the time and this oil is one of the few things I've come across that can actually resurrect it from its damaged state to look far more hydrated, nourished and glossy. Love, love, LOVE this stuff.
I then went to the skincare area as once again my duo of the Nivea Sensitive Day and Night Creams are also nearing their time to say hello to the Empties bag. While I still love both of them, and appreciate how neither has any adverse reaction to my super-sensitive skin - yanno what these things are like - I'm a beauty fanatic and blogger, so I'm bound to get a little bored at some point and want to try something new, right? After a good rummage round Boots and picking up various bottles, tubes and tubs I plumped for the Simple Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF 15 and the matching bed-time version - the Vital Vitamin Night Cream. Like I said, these are completely new to me and I've never sampled them before, but after a good scour at the ingredients to make sure they'll seemingly agree with my easily-annoyed skin, I'm hopeful these may become my new favourites.
I also picked up a few new face masks from my favourite brand in that area - Montagne Jeunesse - which you'd have read more about in this post. Although, it seems they've changed their name? According to this packaging, they're now called '7th Heaven', and after a little researching online, this seems to be the case. Anyway, I'd seen they'd launched a couple of new ones to their already-extensive range, and upon wandering round Boots I spotted some so instantly picked them up. They are the Banana and Honey Souffle Masque, Argan Oil Mud Masque and Coffee Mocha Mud Masque. Although I've already got way too many of these kinds of things stashed away in my drawers, I figured that adding a few more to my collection wouldn't hurt and one way or another I'll use them up (even if it is sometime next year...)
Finally, I picked up a fragrance from Soap and Glory. As you'll know from Tuesday's #AllMonthAugust post, my current bottle of perfume (Dolce, by Dolce & Gabbana) is nearing its end (what is it with everything getting used up all at once?). My recent bottle of Impulse also recently bit the dust, so I took a chance and again plumped for a newbie that's I'm yet to try. I head on the blogging grapevine some months ago that S&G were due to turn a few of their scents used in their bodycare range into proper fragrances you can spritz on till your heart's content. As you'd imagine, the Sugar Crush Body Spray caught my eye (I love anything from that range purely because of its scent) so I finally got round to picking it up. I tried a little of the tester in store and oh my LORD does it smell divine. Love the Sugar Crush scent like me? You will LOVE this. In fact, I may just have to go and spritz some on right now...
