My MAC Wishlist #EveryDayMay

As you'd have seen from this post earlier in the month - I finally made my first-ever trip to MAC! I tried to ease myself in and pick up just a few items (I ended up with two lipsticks and one lip liner to be precise) but now I'm at last on the whole MAC bandwagon, I kinda want to buy everything. So, what's currently sitting on the top of my lust-list?

MINERALIZE SKINFINISH IN 'SOFT AND GENTLE' - Kicking off with the base side of things is this 'ole classic. I think I can probably say that about most of these items, but this one genuinely has been something I've heard people rave on and on about for yonks now. At one point it seemed to be the highlighter that everyone owned and happily slathered onto their cheekbones and while I may be very late to the party, I still want to join in and see what the fuss is about - at last.

CREAM COLOUR BASE IN 'HUSH' - Another glow-inducing inclusion comes from this and it is one of MAC's 'can be used anywhere and everywhere' cream products. These can supposedly be employed on the face, eyes and lips and I especially hear this pretty champagne hue talked about for being an awesome highlight. I remember Tanya Burr and many others using this religiously in makeup tutorials back in the day and still now it's not a rare occurrence for this to crop up in a YouTube video.

EYESHADOW IN 'SATIN TAUPE' - Onto one of MAC's cult arenas - their eyeshadows. Now I could go on and on about different shades I'd love to build up a custom palette with, but for now this one probably sits the highest on my 'I need to buy this' wishlist. Some shades that MAC offer are fairly generic and you could dupe them for a cheaper alternative if you really wanted to, but then there's the ones which are completely unique to anything I've ever seen before - and 'Satin Taupe' certainly falls into the latter category. This is a gorgeous shimmery taupe (much as the name suggests) and I can imagine myself getting a lot of use out of this when I finally decide to take the parches plunge.

EYE KOHL IN 'TEDDY' - Compared to the eyeshadows, the eyeliners from MAC aren't perhaps a product that gets as much hype and attention, but if there is one shade that definitely does get some airplay - it's this shimmery mid-toned brown, 'Teddy'. I love a good brown pencil liner for an everyday dose of definition at the lashline, but I don't really have any in my collection that have a more satin effect and I feel like this one may just be an idea addition to my liner stash.

EXTENDED PLAY MASCARA - Now, onto something I feel like I really have been lusting after for ages. Whenever I apply mascara, it's not often that I go without giving my lower lashes a little coating - I love how it gives my eyes that extra bit of definition and helps balance things out and make everything less 'top heavy'. However most of the time (even if I use a waterproof mascara), it won't be long before it's like Smudge City underneath my eyes. Not a good look. On the plus side, I've always heard that this is the mascara to go for when you want to avoid that problem as it supposedly never, ever smudges - making it a fab offering for the lower lashes.

MATTE LIPSTICK IN 'VELVET TEDDY' - Lipsticks are once again, another product from MAC that everyone and their dog most likely has at least one of kicking around in their stash. As you'd have seen in my aforementioned haul, I've currently got my first two shades sitting pretty in my acrylic makeup display and I'd love to add more to my collection. Like I said about the eyeshadows, there are what I feel like millions of hues I'm lusting after, but one I really, really want to get my hands on is 'Velvet Teddy'. This is the brown-tinged nude shade everyone's either hyping up or hauling as of late and I want to get on that bandwagon - sharpish.

MATTE LIPSTICK IN 'TROPIC TONIC' - Another of the Mattes, but this time a slightly more colourful option - 'Tropic Tonic'. I remember seeing this in videos from Alix (I Covet Thee) and Suzie (Hello October) sometime last year and completely falling in love with how it looked and I knew it had to be mine. Now I've finally got on the MAC bandwagon and Summer is nearly upon us - I feel like this bright pinky-coral is ever more calling out my name. It's gonna happen soon, people...

STROBE CREAM - Onto more 'Skincare'-type bits 'n' bobs and yet again - an item which people seem to have been raving about for yonks and a proper long-term cult classic. I feel like the attention surrounding this shimmery, light-boosting moisturiser has only intensified as of late with glowy skin also being something everyone is really getting behind and - I'll say it again - I want to hop on the bandwagon too. I've heard this is a real multi-purpose product and also something which you only need the tiniest drop of at a time, so I think if/when I do make a purchase, I'll be picking up the travel-size - fo' sho'...

PREP AND PRIME FIX+ - Without sounding too much like a broken record - yet again, a cult classic and something which I feel like has been popping up in people's blog posts and YouTube videos for an eternity. This is also something which people dub as an item which can be utilised for anything and everything - pre-makeup, post-makeup, throughout the day, to wet makeup sponges etc. - and I do love a good makeup spray for all of those aforementioned uses. It just seems right that I pick up a bottle of this at some point...

217 BRUSH - Does this one need any introduction? Out of everything MAC has on offer, I think this has to be one of the things the brand is most well-known for and certainly one of the most popular tools. I think when I watched a YouTube video where someone used this to apply eyeshadow, it was the first time I'd ever heard of MAC and still to this day it's rare to sit through a tutorial where one of these doesn't get whipped out. People universally sub this as the brush to use for eyeshadow (whether it be all-over, in the crease or for blending) and while I feel I've got a pretty good arsenal of brushes for all of those uses right now, adding a 217 to my collection can only improve things, right?
