If you've been reading round these parts for some time, you'll know by now that I always have a tube of the Urban Decay Primer Potion in my makeup stash. In recent years, I've been unable to wear eyeshadow without slapping on a layer of the stuff underneath. I find shadows to apply and blend much easier, show up much more rich and pigmented and last far longer too. My eyelids are fairly oily so without my faithful Primer Potion, things crease up within a few minutes of application and they fade out to almost nothing before the day is out.
I've been used to the standard packaging set-up of a small tube of which you unscrew the cap of and squeeze to get the product out. To me, once I got familiar with it I had not major issues and learnt how much I needed to dispense to coat both my lids. However, if I was being completely honest there was always a niggling feeling in the back of my mind that something could be altered to make the whole usage experience a whole lot better. Well, a while back I heard a few rumours that Urban Decay were having a little shake-up of the way the product was housed and I couldn't help but be excited as I turned out to be exactly what I'd wished for - a doe-foot applicator. I know getting all het up about a change of applicator in an eyeshadow primer may seem a tad extreme, but after making a repurchase a couple of weeks ago and now having a brand new tube with a wand as opposed to the squeezy tube - I'm kinda wondering how I ever managed without it. The amount I use daily is now much more uniformed (one dip into the tube with the doe foot does me nicely) and the whole thing is much less messy as I'm not needing one finger to apply the product and one to blend it out - instead only the latter is required. Sounds small, but comes in real handy in the busy, early mornings when any opportunity to save on time and hassle is greatly appreciated. I think I now love this primer even more (if that was ever possible)...
