Handy Hydrating Hereos #DitsyDecember

While it may not be in full-on Winter, Winter just yet but it is still pretty cold most days and as a result - our skin tends to suffer. Face, hands, feet - you name it - it all typically needs a little more TLC once the cooler weather rolls round and so what time to give a shout-out to some of my favourite products that pack a serious punch in the hydration department when I'm craving it the most...

FACE - Having skin that's on the drier side of things, I like to try and take extra care of it all year round, but especially when it comes to the cooler, crispier months - this takes even more precedence. I've been using the Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Facial Cleansing Oil for a good while now and been really enjoying it as not only does it do a great job at cleansing my skin, the silky oil texture leaves my complexion feeling and looking super hydrated too. The matching Glow Boost Serum from the same range is again another fave of mine when it comes to injecting a tonne of moisture into my skin - putting on a light layer of this stuff before my day or night cream just seems to make the whole process even more worthwhile and intensive. Last up for skincare, comes moisturisers, and while I do tend to flit about with what ones I use, currently I'm working my way through the Nivea Sensitive Day and Night Creams and as you'll probably know if you've read round these parts before - I really rather like them. They're cheap and cheerful - but work so well at adding that last hit of hydration into my skin - and I really don't think you can go wrong with them.

BODY - Keeping within the 'Skin' theme, taking extra special care of my body this time of year is again rather essential for me. Again - hydration is key - and so I guess it's no surprise that I'm all about the body lotions, butters and moisturisers - and lots of them. Soap and Glory will forever be a big favourite of mine in this department and while I love basically all of the products they offer, you really can't go wrong with their 'The Righteous Butter' Body Butter. It's a classic - and for good reason too. This has been on the block for what feels like an age and I'm sure people will have at some point in time given it a go. It's fragranced with their 'standard' S&G scent and is super thick and hydrating - yet sinks in beautifully and doesn't leave the skin feeling uncomfortably tacky or sticky afterwards. If a traditional body butter is less of your kind of thang, perhaps try one of their body lotions - I particularly like their 'Butter Yourself' Moisture Lotion. It's a tad thinner in formula, but still does just as good a job at moisturising my limbs and leaving them all soft and supple in the process. The pump dispenser makes the whole thing really easy and convenient to do and almost leaves no excuse to not do it. Lazy gals (and I'm including myself in that) - this one's for you. Somewhere in the middle in terms of consistency is the Zoella Beauty Sweet Inspirations 'Double Creme' Body Cream. This is neither to thin, nor extremely thick and is another that comes in a convenient packaging method (a squeezey tube this time round). The scent of this whole range is just divine and the sweet fragrance just seems to appeal to me even more during the Winter months.

Last up for the Body - how can I forget about hands and feet? It's an area which we all may tend to leave out, but it's pretty important one nonetheless and again, Soap and Glory come to the rescue here for me. Their 'Hand Food' Hand Cream is another cult classic from the brand and all of the hype is most definitely true when it comes to this product - it's that good. Like all of their moisturising items; this is so hydrating, yet sinks in in no time at all and as I'm sure you all know - that's a pretty important thing to look for when it comes to hand creams. At the moment I'm making my sway through the miniature version I've got in the 'Sugar Crush' scent (one of my personal faves of the whole brand in general) and as you can probably guess - I am all kinds of obsessed with it. I also love their 'Heel Genius' Foot Cream for when I want to give my tootsies a little  love and pampering. Once again, I'm sure you've heard me ramble on about it in the past, but I'm gonna give it yet another shout-out as I relay do think this is the best thing to use on your feet - especially when the weather gets colder. Unlike most other foot creams I've tried which look to be working, only to be simply masking the problem, this one actually solves it and when used over time, completely transforms your feet from dry and cracked, to soft and smooth. Love, love, LOVE.

HAIR - Finally for this hydrating heroes-themed post - I have a couple of suggestions for the 'Hair' department. Just like our skin, our tresses can be dealt a pretty rough deal this time of year and often require just as much love and attention as a result and while I may not use these products all the time, when I need to use them - they certainly come in real handy. Lately, when I've been wanting to give my hair some TLC, I've been reaching for the BLEACH London Reincarnation Hair Mask (another product I'm sure you've heard me talk about many times recently) and I love it. It's super thick and rich and once left on the hair to soak in and do its thang for however long (I tend to leave it for a good while) this does all kinds of amazing things to my hair. Aswell as that, I've also been a massive fan of the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner for years now. I've mentioned this so many time before so I won't ramble on for too long, but basically this stuff is another amazing option for if you're in the market for a really good deep conditioner that injects a shedload of moisture into your hair. Shiny tresses - be mine...
