The Many Uses Of A Glitter Eyeliner... #DitsyDecember

As I've said many, many times in past #DitsyDecember posts - there's nothing that says Christmas as a shedload of glitter. While throughout the rest of the year I am pretty tame in regards to all things sparkly, as soon as December hits and Christmas and New Years Eve are both round the corner - I go kinda cray cray for the stuff and one way I particularly love to slather my self in it is through makeup. Personally, I feel like glittery eyes are the best 'meet in the middle' option in-between the everyday glowy skin and the out-there glitter lip trend and if you're after the quickest, easiest method with the least potential for mess and hassle - look no further than a glitter eyeliner. Housed in a gel formula that handily doubles up as an adhesive, it ensures there's basically no fall-out and thus - no #GlitterBallFace! What more could you want, eh? Let's just jump right into the many ways I like to utilises an eyeliner of the sparkly variety...

AS AN ACTUAL GLITTER EYELINER - Of course, this is the obvious one - but it has to be said anyway I guess. Simply using your glitter liquid/gel liner exactly as instructed on the tin and replacing your standard winged liner with something more shimmery and sparkly. It might require a little more work and layering than the 'traditional' black feline flick to get things all nice and opaque - but you'll get there in the end and it'll sure be worth it.

LAYERED OVER YOUR USUAL EYELINER - If you still want to rock your usual black but jazz it up a little - maybe try layering said glitter liner over the top. Apply your liquid liner as normal, before filling it all in with a coat of the sparkly stuff and there you have your everyday look, but with a shimmery twist!

...OR TO SIMPLY OUTLINE IT INSTEAD! - If you can't decide whether to use your glitter liner alone or use it as a finishing touch to your existing black affair - try combining the two together and using it as an outline. Adorn the upper line of your black liquid flick and you've got a great technique if you want something a little more cleaner cut and a way of ensuring the glitter eyeliner really stands out.

AS AN INNER CORNER HIGHLIGHT - Moving away from the whole eyeliner thang - but still staying firmly in the 'Eyes' department - perhaps try dabbing a little of the sparkly stuff in the inner corner of your eyes. A glitter eyeliner is much more full-on and intense than your regular shimmery eyeshadow and with the little wand, you get a far more precise application - you can control exactly where you place the glitter.

ON THE LOWER LASH LINE - Just as I mentioned a fair few times about using the eyeliner to line your upper lashline, you can just as easily employ it on your lower one too. It's a good way of adding something a little different to a look and will really help to brighten and open up those peepers too.

PRESSED IN THE CENTRE OF YOUR LID - Finally - and probably the one which I utilise the most - I love to use them just as you would a normal, loose glitter. However, with the particles being suspended in a formula you get a built-in glue system too meaning there; no need for any faffing around with glitter primer. Simply take some of the glitter eyeliner off the wand on the back of your hand and use your fingertip to press it onto the lid. I personally like to dab some in the centre for some added dimension, but you could even add some sparkle to the inner section too. Whatever way you want to do it - it's time to get your glitter on...
