Another Beauty Haul - I Know...

I knowonly did a Beauty Haul a couple of weeks back but what can I say? I picked up a few more items recently and here we are once again. Please don't judge meThere's a nice selection here of some completely new-in additions to the drugstore, some things that are simply new to me and some repurchases too - see, thee's a justification right there for ya. Let's dive on right in...

Kicking things off with Haircare, I firstly needed to reinvest in a good shampoo and conditioner duo as my usual set are fast on the sway to being on their last legs. Currently, I'm using the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner and when I went in to make a repurchase as I'm such a big fan, I spotted a new edition of the same range - the Keratin Smooth Colour Shampoo and Conditioner. As I said, I already am a massive fan of the original formula and when I saw they have extended the range to include a duo especially for colour-treated hair, I knew I had to give it a go. I currently have blonde, ombre-ish hair (P.S. I've booked in to get it all re-done next month - eeek!) and I do like to try and cater my haircare routine towards my coloured hair when I can. I'll let you all know how I get on. Also for the ol' Hair, I picked up a new purple shampoo. My current one by Touch of Silver has been my favourite for ages now and while I still really enjoy using it, I fancied mixing things up and potentially going back to an old love - and eventually, that is exactly what I did. I picked up an oldie, but a goodie - Lee Stafford's Bleach Blondes Shampoo. If you've been reading round here for a pretty long time, you'll most likely recall when I used to be obsessed with this stuff. It was the first purple, toning shampoo-kinda thing I tried and it was the one that made me fall in love with the whole concept in general. If it's as good as I remember it being - the most likely scenario - I'm well looking forward to cracking this one out again. Finally, I also needed a repurchase of a good heat protectant and I decided to go back to an old favourite - L'Oreal's Studio Line Heat It Hot and Straight Spray. I've used this one on and off for a while now and despite trying and using others, I keep coming back to it - time and time again. It protects my hair from all things heat-related and also helps smooth things out and keep my hair straight and frizz-free too.

Then we have Skincare - and let me tell you, there are some good'uns in this category. Another thing you'll most likely know about me if you've been here before is that I am a big fan of the Garnier Moisture Bomb range - especially the Tissue Face Mask. Simply take it out of the packet, slap it onto your face - making yourself look pretty weird in the process - leave it for a while, remove it and massage the excess and you're left with super soft, calm and hydrated skin. It's quite the miracle worker. And so when I spotted on the Superdrug website two brand-new versions - I just had to pick them up to try. There's the 'Camomile' version and also one containing 'Green Tea' and I am pretty excited to give them both a whirl on my pamper nights. The former is supposedly targeted towards those with sensitive, dry skin and as that basically sums up my skin type in a sentence - I had to pick it up. The latter I'm more unsure as to whether will work as well for me personally, as it is designed more for those with oilier skins, but I loved the idea of the green tea addition (#GreenTeaFanatic) and felt it was only right to try out them both to see which one I personally prefer. I also picked up a few items from the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Range, as recently I've been having a few blemishes pop up and as I don't tend to have many issues in that department regularly, I wanted to purchase a few items to use in the hope of it combating it all. The range was on 3 for 2, so I plumped for a couple of face masks - the Peel Off Face Mask and the Charcoal Face Mask - and some of the Facial Pore Strips too as I love using pore strips, but wanted some that could be used on more than just the nose area. Let's see how we get on...

Makeup-wise, I have some pretty good additions to my stash right here. You may have seen that over Easter, Real Techniques launched their #RTSpongeHunt. It was pretty fun and pretty addictive too and at the end of it all, I managed to come away with a coupon code for £1 off of one of their brushes/tools/brush sets online at Superdrug! Being the biggest advocate for Real Techniques as a brand, this was good news to me and as if I didn't need any more reason to add to my collection - this may or may not have spurred me o to make another purchase. I mean, I had to, right? This is the Expert Concealer Brush and this is a fairly new addition to their range I believe and it's been one I've considered purchasing for basically ever since they announced its launch. I love using a solid concealer (such as the Rimmel Lasting Finish) to add some extra coverage to areas where I my usual concealer hasn't quite cut it and for that I usually employ my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. While I really enjoy using it that way, I have often wondered about using it for how it's actually been designed - for eyeshadow - and as I only have one in my collection, right now I can't. So, I bought this new Expert Concealer Brush in mind of potentially taking its place for concealer work as it's the same sort of size and density, just slightly less round and more flat - like a little mini Expert Face Brush! I definitely get where the name came from... Then, moving onto the actual 'makeup', makeup - aswell as my usual, holy-grail Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Fair' - I picked up Sleek's 'Cleopatra's Kiss' Highlighting Palette. Yes, I did it. I already own their infamous Highlighting Palette in 'Solstice' and love, love, LOVE it - so much so that I ended up picking up another equally-raved-about shade compilation recently. This edition contains more warmer, bronzey tones and even though there's a couple of darker hues in there, I still feel I could happily get use out of all of them in some way - whether it be for highlighting the cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow (and basically everywhere), or simply as super shimmery eyeshadows. I am super excited to start experimenting with this one - asap. Another thing I am so super-dupe excited about is the Makeup Revolution Flawless 3 'Resurrection' Palette. Another eyeshadow palette, I know - but just like lip products, I feel like you can never have too many, right? As soon as I spotted this on Instagram (I think it was on there that I saw it first) I knew I wanted to try and hunt it down and pick it up. I was expecting to be waiting a while to find it in stores or online as it's a). a new release and b). the kind of release I imagine to be very popular/sought after but I manged to find one at the stand in my local Superdrug. Result! This 32-shade strong selection has basically every neutral eyeshadow shade you could ever need and I am especially attracted to warm brows, oranges, reds and pinks that reside towards the very bottom section - very ABH 'Modern Renaissance'-esque. Aside from the good ol' warm undertones though, I love pretty much every other colour in the palette too - whether it be cool-toned or more slap-bang-in-the-middle neutral - and can already see myself getting proper usage out of basically all of them. Again, cannot wait to get started on using this. I then picked up another new-in addition to the drugstore scene and one which I've seen countless times as of late - L'Oreal's Miss Baby Roll Mascara. The latest lash launch from L'Oreal (wow, what a tongue twister, eh), this has received a whole lotta hype and attention recently and having seen some of the results, I was instantly drawn into picking up one for myself. The collection actually features a whole range of colours - perfect for festivals, r simply adding some extra 'fun' into your makeup look for Spring/Summer - but I figured for now, I'd stick with plain 'Black' and see how I get on with the formula first. Also, Boots currently have an offer going on where you got a free eye mask when you pick one up, so even more of a reason to add one to your basket. Finally, I bought three of the new selection of shades that NYX have added to their popular 'Lip Lingerie' Liquid Lipsticks. Doubling their original collection of twelve, there's now even more nude tones to choose from and I being such a big fan of the two I already own, I wanted to see what other shades I could pick up that were up my street. I plumped for 'Bustier' - a dusky, slightly grey-toned purpley nude, 'Cabaret Show' - a slightly deeper, red-toned nude, and 'Cashmere Silk' - a warm, peachy brown. Though I definitely don't necessarily 'need' more nude lip products, in terms of actual liquid lipsticks I feel these kinds of tones aren't something I already have in my collection. With Spring/Summer coming up I'll most likely be rocking more bright/bold colours on my lips over the coming months, but it's always good to have some good ol' nude tones to fall back onto.

And then, last but certainly by no means least - Nails. I've got just one thing in this department this time round, and it is once again two new shades from an existing range that has been updated and added to recently. Barry M's Molten Metal Nail Paints launched last year (I think) and having tried a couple of the pretty stunning shades out since then, I knew I wanted to pick up a couple of the new hues that the brand added to the line-up as of late. Of them all, I was instantly drawn to 'Pink Ice' - a stunning rose gold and 'Holographic Lights' - a (you guessed it) holographic, super-reflective metallic hue. You better be expecting these beauties to be cropping up in a 'Polish Pick' or two very, very soon...
