6 Fab Things That Have Happened This Week...

Don't get me wrong - I have and always will be forever thankful and appreciative of the good times - mainly due to the fact of having been though various crap in the past, but I think that has only been heightened in recent months. Over the past couple of year, I've gone through probably my stickiest patch of them all - mainly in terms of my mental health - but I feel the one silver lining of everything is that, having now come through the worst part of it all, I appreciate the great things even more so. And you know those times when things are just good or even, dare we say it, great? This week has been one of those pretty darn awesome ones and I feel like it might be nice to switch things up round these parts again and throw in a little bit of a different post where I chat through some of the great things that have happened. Has anything awesome happened to you lovely lot recently? I'd love to know - perhaps share it down in the comments below if you fancy? Let's share the love...

  1. NEW(ISH) TATTOO! - You may or may not know that I already had one little, simply daisy tattoo that I had done on the top of my right foot in May last year. While I loved it and was super happy with it, over the past few months I started to really think about possibly making the flower itself more detailed and also having a bigger design added onto it. I wanted to add more flowers and more of a floral-based design and I also really wanted to add in a butterfly too - for a few different reasons. I went to a different (still local) artist this time round who I'd always loved the work of and I am so pleased I did. She basically did exactly what I wanted in the exact style I wanted and I and so, so happy with it! Yes, it's a lot larger but I definitely prefer it that way (think it's the whole 'having big feet' thang) and I feel like I am finally fully happy and 'done' with my foot tattoo and I can kinda move on from it now if I do ever fancy getting anything anywhere else in the future. Eeeek!
  2. LITTLE MIX! - Another awesome thing that's happened this past week is that I saw Little Mix! Back earlier this year when one of the dates of their 'Summer Shout Out' Tour (a sort of sub-tour from their main 'Glory Days' one) was announced to be based in my hometown, me and my Mum figured it'd be rude not to go and last Sunday - the time came and it was so, so good. Both of the support acts were great, but Little Mix themselves were just so awesome. I'd heard great things about how good they are live and I'd also always been impressed whenever I watched a live performance from them on TV or YouTube but having now seen them properly live, live - I definitely agree. They were so slick and polished with their choreography and so, so good vocally too! They literally sounded as good as they do on their albums. I definitely recommend going to see them live if you can  - you will not regret it!
  3. THE START OF AUTUMN? - It's officially now September - something that also happened this week - and while the weather is still occasionally warm and sunny (as it usually is during September), I can't help but look forward to Autumn/Winter. Plenty of festive, fun times; cosy fashion; the new Costa/Starbucks Christmas Menus and so much more too. What more could you want, eh?
  4. GETTING ORGANISED - A slightly less super-exciting one (but a good one nevertheless) is that in the past week, I feel I've really got into the organisation mode again. The upcoming start of a new season always makes me want to get thing done and sorted if they aren't already and I feel like I've really cracked on with that lately and I'm really happy with it!
  5. ANOTHER BOOK SIGNING! - ...Obviously I don't mean mine. The lovely Tanya Burr is announced her new book earlier this year - this time, a festive affair titled 'Tanya's Christmas' - and ever since, I was hopeful that she'd follow the same tradition that she'd done with her two previous books and include her hometown (which also happens to be my hometown too) in her Book Tour and she has! The dates were announced earlier this week - along with a tonne of other fun things - and I pretty much instantly booked my place in line. Yes, I might have to wait a little longer to get my hands on a copy (the book signing is a couple of months after the 19th Oct release date) I'm sure it will be more than worth it and I will still have it in plenty of time for Christmas 2017 after all...
  6. THIS DEAR OLD BLOG... - Obviously, this is not something to have happened in the last week - Dainty Ditsy is now over three years old, yanno - but recently, I've really got my blogging mojo back. I mean, it never really properly 'left', but I feel like I've really gotten even more in the mood for blogging lately and I'm super, super happy about it. I've also just hit 380 Followers on Bloglovin' too (!!) and while, as I always say, it really is not all about the numbers, I can't deny my happiness at seeing that little number going up and up and I hope you lovely lot are enjoying my blog as much as I am enjoying writing it!
