Concealer's a makeup product that can often be overlooked - and yet, it's bloomin' awesome. Other than simply concealing and covering up your spots, blemishes and under-eye bags; there's a tonne of other ways you can utilise it too so today, I figured I'd run you lovely lot through a handful of them. Let's get started...
TO CONCEAL YOUR FACE - The obvious one, but essential nevertheless. Get yourself a good concealer which can tackle bags, blemishes, redness - the lot - and you're set. As I said earlier, never underestimate the power of a good concealer...
AS A STAND-ALONE BASE - Sometimes - particularly during the warmer months - I personally love simply whacking some concealer over the problem areas of my face in place of foundation and leaving things there. It's quick, easy and perfect for days when you want to go lighter on your base or simply do not have the time to do any more with your makeup, base-wise...
TO CLEAN-UP AND CORRECT YOUR BROWS - Sometimes, we're all guilty of getting a little carried away when filling them in and needing to erase our mistakes, or maybe you just fancy a cleaner, crisper look or your natural brows are well-overdue a plucking 'sesh (or a trip to a brow bar) and you're desperately trying to hide all of the hairs that really shouldn't be there. Whatever way, try using a small detailer brush to carve out your brows as a final, finishing step and you'll be amazed at the difference it makes...
TO PRIME YOUR EYES - Forgotten your eye primer? Try using your concealer instead! It's got a similar texture and consistency and a lot of formulas either naturally 'set' themselves or can be easily locked into place by mattifying over with your normal face powder so can be easily doubled-up as an eye base too. As a concealer, it will naturally cover up any red or vein-y lids and create a nice, even base for colour to be applied over the top so all in all - it does basically anything and everything you'd need from an eye primer. Result!
TO CORRECT YOUR WINGED LINER - Liquid liner and getting that winged-out, feline flick can be difficult and I think we're all up for anything that can make whole process any easier so if you feel that may just apply to you - listen up for this one. If you've done your eye makeup after your face and so cannot really 'clean things up' as easily as a quick sweep of a face wipe - try using concealer instead. I personally find a solid, cream concealer to work the best for this one as it the easiest to control, can be applied super-precise up to the wing and it doesn't matter if you've already powdered/set/baked your under-eye as you don't need a lot of product or to spread it out over a wide area. All in all, it's a winner...

AS A CREAM HIGHLIGHTER - Obviously, I don't mean this so much in the typical shimmery, shiny, glowy way of usual cream highlighters but if you simply want to highlight your face in the more literal sense of the word (i.e. using it to add shape, structure and not-so-blinding light to the face) this one may just be for you. I have to admit that personally, I don't do this one myself very much, but if you want to highlight in a more subtle way (again, not so much my sort of thing, but I can appreciate that it is for some people) try using your concealer as a cream highlighter instead.
TO CLEAN-UP YOUR CHEEK PRODUCTS - Another area of your makeup that can be easily cleaned up using a swipe of your classic concealer are your cheeks. Gone overboard with the bronzer or contour and just need to sharpen things up again? Sweep some concealer and you'll soon be sorted out. I find this to really help things not to look muddy or heavy and just generally help stop your cheek products from doing that thing here they just seem to be 'dragging' your face downwards and instead making things appear far more lifted and lovely.
TO CONTOUR - Other than cleaning your powder cheek products up, you can even use a concealer - in a darker shade than you'd use as an actual concealer, of course - as a cream/liquid contour. Yes, really. Simply apply in all of the usual areas; blend out using a brush, a sponge or even the warmth of your fingers and preferably set into place with your usual contour product to ensure things don't slip or fade throughout the day. Done and dusted.
TO CHANGE YOUR LIP SHAPE - Lips-wise, you've probably hear this one before a lot in recent years when the whole 'get fuller-looking lips' craze has been cray cray - but concealer can really do wonders for your natural pout, yanno? Not only can a little placed lightly on the cupids bow help to highlight, you can even use it to almost 'blank' out the lips and adapt your natural shape a little.

...OR TO 'BLANK OUT' YOUR LIP COLOUR - Another plus-point of 'blanking' out your lips is that it creates a nice, even base for whatever you want to place over the top, free of your natural (sometimes quite pigmented) lip colour that can often interfere with the true colour of a lip product. The colour will go on evenly, be more opaque and vibrant and also possibly last a little longer too - just as concealer acts as an awesome eye primer, it also works as a good lip primer too.
