March, somehow, has already come to an end and it's time to once again sit down and talk you all through everything beauty-wise that I've been loving throughout the past month. There's quite a lot of makeup items in this edition - cause I guess that's what I've mainly been into trying out these past few weeks - so I suppose if you're after discovering any new, awesome makeup goodies in particular, then look no further...
MAKEUP REVOLUTION FAST BASE FOUNDATION STICK IN 'F2' - Kicking off this month's edition with a foundation stick! I know, I know - a little different to the norm, but actually I have become rather obsessed. I used to steer clear of stick foundations, believing they were all dry, thick and generally far better catered towards those guys and gals with oily skin (or simply lovers of a matte look). However, then Makeup Revolution (or 'Revolution Beauty', as they are now called) launched their own version and I soon was proved wrong. This glides onto my skin; deposits a beautiful, dewy finish; sits on the skin super-nicely and lasts impeccably throughout the day too. And it's only £4 - what more could you want, eh?
L'OREAL CRUSHED FOIL METALLIC HIGHLIGHTER IN 'ROSE QUARTZ' - Another firm favourite of mine over the past month has definitely been this awesome new highlighter from L'Oreal. Ever since hearing numerous people rave on about this product, I have been on the hunt for tracking it down and buying it myself and finally this month, I managed to and oh my, was it more than worth the wait. A gorgeous, highly-pigmented highlighter in a gorgeous light pinky-gold hue - you only need the tiniest amount of this to get a super-blinding, metallic effect that's so intense and reflective - and we all know that's exactly what I'm after in any highlighter. It sits really smoothly on the skin, never looks chunky or 'glittery' and the colour suits my paler skin-tone perfectly too!
MAKEUP FLAWLESS FOIL SHADOWS - Eyes-wise, I've really been liking these little foiled shadows - again, from Revolution. Their brand is constantly releasing awesome products at the moment and these are most definitely one of them. Simply, these are powder shadows that you can either wear dry, used over the top of the intensifying base or mixed together with the primer to create a super-intense, liquid foiled shadow. Personally, I've been using them in the latter way and really enjoyoing how they work and look. If you're after a really glam, intense eye-look - these will soon become your new best friends. Whether used all-over the lid, in the inner corners of the eyes, or in the very centre for the 'halo eye' effect; they add such an intense pop of metallic shimmer and best of all, they are super easy to work with. They glide onto the eyes, have no fall-down and they don't fade, crumble or crease throughout the day either. Once they're on they're on, basically, and I really love them.
MAKEUP REVOLUTION 'LOVE CONQUERS ALL' EYESHADOW PALETTE - This eyeshadow palette hs also been a favourite of mine too in March. I actually received this for free (yes, that's right, it was free!) as part of making a Makeup Rev order on Superdrug a few weeks back and I'll admit that I perhaps wasn't expecting the most from it - but I was wrong. Inside of this you actually get six (very large) eyeshadow pans - mostly consisting of shimmery shades - plus one large, heart-shaped highlighter in the middle and you know what? Considering this cost me a grand total of zero pounds, the quality is awesome. The eyeshadows are creamy and super-shimmery and the pale, icy pink highlighter is also really pigmented and smooth too, plus the colour is a great match for my paler skin-tone. They say good things don't come for free, but I'd definitely disagree when it comes to this palette...
COLLECTION VELVET KISS LIP CREAM IN 'DREAMBOAT' - And then we come to all things Lips - starting off with a new shade range for these lip creams from Collection. If you read my recent 'New In At The Drugstore' post I did a couple of weeks ago here, you'll already have seen about these and so far, one colour in particular has really grabbed my attention. This gorgeous mauve-y nude was always the colour that I suspected would become my favourite, favourite of the four they released and surprise, surprise - I was right. This is exactly the type and tone of nude I love and combined with the same, awesome formula of these matte lip creams - it's a winning combination for sure...
BARRY M MATTE ME UP LIP KIT IN 'DOLL' - Another liquid lipstick - this time, a 'proper' one - that I've fallen head over heels for this month comes from Barry M. Like Collection, they've also added some new shades to a pre-existing lip product range of theirs and one shade in particular has become a new go-to for me. I'm sure you all well know by now that their Matte Me Up Lip Paints are probably my favourite liquid lipstick formula I've tried. They're really thin and lightweight, dry down to a super-powdery matte finish that's still pretty comfortable and lasts all day long, and packaged up together with matching lip liners for their 'Lip Kits' - it's a winning combination. I already own basically every shade they've released and so I knew as soon as they announced three more 'kits' were coming out that I would be needing to add those to my stash too. All of them are awesome - both colour-wise and in terms of the same formula too - but the one shade which I've really been loving so far is 'Doll'. This is just the perfect light, warm browney-nude for my skin-tone. It's not too light, nor too dark and used together with the super creamy, but also slightly waxy lip liner (that's just ever so slightly deeper and so contours and adds dimension, without creating that obvious '90's look) - it makes for such an awesome lip combination.
SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAM IN 'RIOJA RED' - A liquid lipstick that's not of a nude variety that I still have really been loving lately is this one from Sleek. I already own and love a lot of their Matte Me Lip Creams and this was always one which I meant to pick u p and so I was very happy to received it as part of a gift-set last Christmas. I tried it at the time and really liked it, but this month I've cracked it out properly for the first time and have really enjoyed doing so. It's such a bright, intense, true red and with the same brilliant formulation as always too. It applies opaque in one layer (which certainly isn't always the case with red lippies), dries down in a matter of seconds to a matte (but comfortable) matte finish and really does last on the lips too. I personally really like wearing it with a super parred-back eye and glowy base - it looks pretty darn good, even if I do say so myself...
OGX COCONUT WATER WEIGHTLESS HYDRATION OIL - Finally, we have a rogue Haircare item and something that I've reintroduced back into my routine again these past few weeks. Having dyed, bleached, blonde (whatever you want to call it) hair, I love using various treatments on my tresses to really give them a good ol' dose of some hydration and nourishment again and this dry oil used to be a favourite of mine a year or so ago. Then, as usual for me, I moved onto new things and kinda forgot all about it - until recently that is. I simply spray some of this in my hair before blow-drying and it really does work wonders. It hydrates my hair and makes it feel and look so shiny and healthy, yet doesn't weigh things down or make my hair greasy and product-laden at all. It's a good'un...
So, I guess that just about rounds up what I've been loving throughout the past month of March! I definitely found some awesome new products that I can't wait to continue getting my use out of - and maybe I might just have introduced you to something new too? Let me know what you've been loving this past month - I'd love to know...
