So, this weekend I went 'out out' - you know what I mean - and as always, I did my nails up for the occasion. I went for something a little different to my usual look (well, at least a little bit) and so, figured it was a good idea to share it with you all! Let's take a closer look...
First off, I took a lacquer I've loved for a while now - Maybelline's Color Show Polish in 'Pink Slip'. This is a light, mid-toned pink - but it's also laced with fine, iridescent shimmer and it looks pretty on the nails, especially so when it catches the light. I built up the colour with my usual two coats and though you could easily leave things there, I wanted to go that one step further - especially cause I was going out - and so went in with a firm favourite of mine for topping things off and adding some sparkle - Essie's Glitter Nail Polish in 'A Cut Above'. Whenever I'm doing a pinky-themed nail look and want a glitter polish to add some sparkle to the situation, this is always one I reach for - and this time was no different. A clear polish packed full of smaller and larger flecks of metallic rose gold glitter, this was the perfect finishing touch and as this polish in particular is such a full-coverage glitter, it only took ne good layer to achieve the effect I was after. Yay!
