A Festive LUSH Haul... #DitsyDecember

This post has become a bit of a tradition in #DitsyDecember, hasn't it? I love going to LUSH, picking up a few of their new, festive products to use over Christmas/New Year and for the past however many years, I've equally enjoyed sharing what I chose to pick up with all of you too! This time of year is pretty much one of, if not the only time I tend to wander into LUSH at all, so I love making the most of it and this year was no different. Having already pre-looked online at what they had on offer this year, I had a few items in mind and the other day, finally ventured in to do my haul! Let's take a look at what I picked up...

Starting off with Bath Bombs - I just had to pick a couple up! I think I'm more of a Bubble Bar type of gal really as they create more of a luxurious bubbly lather and you get multiple uses out of them too - but I can't help but be taken in by a good fizzy Bath Bomb or two aswell. So, firstly, I went for the Perle De Sel Bath Bomb. This has a very delicate, light floral fragrance and I really like it. It makes a nice change from other products that come out this time of year that more often than not, have a much stronger, more typically-festive scent which whilst lovely, can get overpowering if overloaded with too much of it. I can't wait to throw this into my bath one evening over Christmas! Then, I also decided to plump for the Cheery Christmas Bath Bomb. This has a more fresh, citrus-y scent which I'm sure you all know by now, is the sort of fragrance I really love. Again, another alternative type of scent to the more 'traditional' Christmas fragrances you expect and I feel like this would make for a really nice, refreshing bath this time of year, when you've had your fill of all things sweet and sickly! Also, it looks to turn your bath water a gorgeous mixture of pink, purple and blue - which sounds pretty good to me. Finally for bath bombs, I just had to pick up an old favourite of mine that's featured in many a Christmas LUSH Haul over the years - the Butterbear Bath Bomb! This one is definitely the most 'tame' offering from LUSH this time of year, but I love it nevertheless. It doesn't create any bright, colourful fireworks in your bath-tub like a lot of the others, but it's more what it does 'behind the scenes' which makes me love it so much. Once you place it in the bath, it soon dissolves into virtually nothing - but the way it makes your bath water feel, is just wonderful. It makes it so soft and silky and afterwards, your skin feels equally so too. Especially this time of year when your can tend to feel a little dry, I can't wait to indulge using this one bathtime very soon...

Then, moving into Bubble Bars! As I said, possibly my favourite type of bath product from LUSH - hence why I picked up a couple of them. Firstly, I went for the Yog Nog Yule Log Bubble Bar. Last year, I loved the bath bomb version of this and so whilst I was disappointed to not see it back this time, I soon spotted the bubble bar variety and knew I had to give it a go. This scent is just delicious. Definitely a 'stereotypical' Christmas scent - very sweet, spicy and just yummy - and I kinda feel like it works possibly even better in the format. Going on how creamy this feels alone, I can really imagine this is gonna be so rich and indulgent and make my skin feel pretty damn soft too. Plus, it quite literally smells good enough to eat. Mhmmmm. Last, but certainly by no means least - we come to the very last product I picked up - Candy Mountain Yule Log Bubble Bar. Everyone and their Nan is well familiar with the Snow Fairy scent at LUSH every Christmas by this point I'm sure and though I've never actually tried it in its original, shower gel format, I have tried various guises of 'Candy Mountain' (bath products in the same scent) and have enjoyed every one. This year, it seems to be in Bubble Bar form and so, I knew I wanted to give it a go! This is a super-sweet, candyfloss scent that's kinda sickly, but also very yummy at the same time and it's also very festive too. You know, this time of year's when we all tend to indulge in all things sweet, so why not carry that sentiment through to your bath-time, right? Plus, this one looks to turn the water super bright pink and bubbly too - what's not to love?

  1. I love Lush and especially Lush at Christmas! I haven't tried out their Christmas range yet but did get a few bath bombs and bubble bars for Christmas. I can't wait to try them out. Thanks for sharing your haul.
