So, we all know the deal by now - I obviously went out out New Year's Eve, as I always like to - and so of course, I just had to do my nails all up for the occasion! And, with my dress being a black/rose gold super-sparkly kinda situation, I knew I wanted to go for super-sparkly coppery/rose gold nails to match. Let's take a closer look...
To start, I decided to go for the Rimmel 60 Seconds Glitter Nail Polish in 'Fab!'. I actually used the gold version of this for my Christmas Day Nails and so, cause I knew I wanted to go for rose gold nails for NYE, I thought this pinky-gold metallic shade might work well for this occasion! And I actually think it really did. Two coat, fully opaque, super metallic but also with fine shimmer running through it. It's a winner. However, with it being NYE and all that, I just had to go even further and of course, it was time for one thing, and one thing only - Glitter! I mean, it is New Year's after all. And, obviously, it had t follow the same pinky, rose gold theme. So, I decided to go for a new polish in my stash - Barry M's Glitter Nail Paint in 'Live It Up'! I actually got this as part of a 'free gift with purchase' set in Superdrug a while ago and this was the very first time I cracked this colour out. But, I thought it looked to be a pretty ideal colour to pair with the metallic base to make things really sparkly and even more pink-toned. And you know what? I think it worked rather well! A Barbie-pink glitter polish with flecks of gold, purple and blue running through it - I love it. The different undertones just add such dimension and texture to the nails and complement the pinky-orange metallic I used first rather well, I think! Two coats gave full opaque coverage - but still let the base shine though - and that was my NYE Nails done! A layer of my go-to top coat to seal the deal and I was ready to go...
