Decluttering and Re-Organising My Nail Polish Collection...

I haven't decluttered my nail polish stash in a little while and recently, I thought it was about time I did so. Not too long ago I added two more shades to my collection (one of which you would have seen in my last post here) and let me tell you, it was more than just a little bit of a squeeze to get them into my storage system I have. It's now more than fully filled up with lacquers and so, I thought it was about time I went through and tried to streamline my collection once more in order to give myself more space to grow again and just ensure I only have polishes I really love and use, aren't identical to others I own and aren't gross and expired or on their way out either. Yeah, that's basically the three main 'categories' I try and think of when doing these kind of things. So, let's see what ones I decided to say goodbye to...

I decided to at last say goodbye to all of my old Barry M Gelly Nail Paints - as in, the ones I had before they finally changed the brush inside to a much better, wide, flat and rounded style. I am interested in possibly picking up a few again though with the new brush shape, so I've made a note and I guess, who knows? I'll definitely let you know if I do! Aside from that though, it's all lacquers that I am firmly waving goodbye to, for good. Amnohgst them are some of the old Rimmel Salon Pro Polishes (which I don't think even exist anymore), some of which are gloopy and others very similar colours to other better ones I now own. I also decided to declutter their Rita Ora Nail Polish in 'Roll In The Grass' - simply because I just don't love, love, love this colour as much as I used to. Moving on, I also decided to get rid of a couple of the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paints - in 'Eat My Dust' and 'Freestyle'. Both still very lovely colours and unique in my collection, but I just feel I have others that are similar now which I kinda prefer and use more. I also got rid of a couple others from Barry M - their Silk Nail Paint in 'Blossom' and a Limited Edition Nail Paint in 'Starlet'. The former I actually have a very similar shade now in my collection which I prefer (from the same brand) and the latter I actually found another Limited Edition from Barry M, which is basically identical! So, I knew I had to get rid of one - and unfortunately, this one had to go. From Maybelline, I decluttered one of the SuperStay 7 Days Nail Polishes (a range that I love), in the shade 'Winner Takes It All!' - as I have so many gold metallic polishes and this one is very similar to others I already have and prefer! Then, I have another from Maybelline that I also decluttered due to it being so similar/almost identical to others in my stash that I prefer - their Color Show Nail Polish in 'Brick Shimmer'. Then, finally, we have a few 'randoms', shall we say. One tiny little lacquer from Primark (that I really cannot even recall where it came from), a gold topcoat from Essence (which is very similar to others in my stash), a nail treatment from Collection (which I decided to declutter due to me already having a main favourite from Barry M when it comes to that department) and a couple from GHD that I got with my first pair of straighteners that I bought from them - which have since unfortunately passed. RIP. Sidenote - Remember my rose gold straighteners? I am so glad I re-invested in an original black pair to replace them!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed seeing what I decided to clear out in terms of my nail polish collection recently. I'm definitely super-happy with how I got on - there's certainly much more room to grow again, which I'm so pleased about!
