A couple of weeks back, I did this post right here where I tried one of the new shades of the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints for Summer 2019 and - in short - loved it. So, the other day I decided to give it another try, this time using a glitter topper (which is actually another new favourite lacquer of mine) over the top to finish things off and add a little extra somethin' somethin'. And, you know what? I was super happy with the finished result! So, I thought I'd share it with you all...
If you haven't guessed already, for this look I started off using the Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in 'Pink Grapefruit'. As I said before, this was one that I picked out of their newest shade additions and basically, loved it a lot used alone. However, I knew it'd be a colour I could potentially enjoy even more so when used in-conjunction with other colours - mainly, glittery top coats - and so, that was exactly what I decided to go for the other day! So, I layered over a coating of my new favourite glittery topcoat - which is also from Barry M - and it is their Glaze Topcoat in 'Fortune Teller'! A clear base with gorgeous iridescent strands that once on the nails, almost translate as scattered confetti. It just give such a super-pretty effect that's a little different to many other glittery polishes or top coats in my collection. And used over the top of 'Pink Grapefruit' - I just love the finished result! The hot, coral pink just works so well with the almost holographic tones of 'Fortune Teller'. The two just compliment each other so nicely and as I said before about this top coat, one layer deposits such a good amount of glitter that you really don't need to go in with another coat! So, I think it's safe to say after this look that I'm super excited to try more creme colours as a base for this glitter top coat...
