Polish Pick: Revolution High Gloss Nail Polish in 'Rush'

So today we have the third and final colour from the first selection of colours I picked up from the new Revolution High Gloss Nail Polishes! So far, I'm really enjoying them so I couldn't wait to get lacquering this shade onto my nails, asap. Especially as it's perhaps the most bold, 'exciting' colour of them all - a gorgeous, hot red...

This is the shade 'Rush' - isn't is just so pretty? I love wearing red on my nails - it's a classic colour to go for, but for good reason too. So bold and colourful, yet so chic and sophisticated at the same time too. And this one's slightly different from others in my collection as it's more of a bright, tomato-based red. A lot of reds I have already are either more of a true, blue-based red or something deeper and more burgundy-toned and so whilst the other reds in Revolution's line-up definitely filled those categories, this time I fancied picking up something a little different. 'Rush' is what I believe to be the lightest red they have offer - it's much brighter and more vivid than the others. It's what I'd typically class more of a 'Spring/Summer Red' and whilst we're kinda exiting that season right now, I still think I'll be getting a lot of use out of this over the upcoming months. Cause, sometimes you fancy a change from your true reds or deeper reds, right? And I'm pretty sure brighter reds are typically associated with the festive season too. Maybe I'll be cracking this shade out come Christmas time (I know, I know, sorry for uttering the 'C' word already!)...

As with all of these polishes from Revolution that I've tried, the formula is bang-on. Nearly opaque in just one coat but the second just completely evens things out, dries quickly and leaves behind a super-shiny finish even before using my usual top coat. So far, this colour seems to be just as hard-wearing as the others too - I'm a few days in so far and only noticing a few minor chips at the very tips of the nails. What more could you ask for?
