Lip Conditioners - My Go-To's...

Being a lover of matte lipsticks/liquid lipsticks (and just lip products in general tbh), I love keeping my lips as hydrated and nourished as possible. So, over the years I've certainly tried and come across a fair selection of products for doing exactly that which I've been really impressed by and use regularly - whether that be before or after wearing makeup! Wanna know some of my favourites? Keep on reading...

NIVEA ORIGINAL LIP BALM - Ah - the classic. Everyone knows and loves this one, right? It's a staple for many and for good reason too! This keeps my lips feeling and looking so soft, smooth and supple all day long. It's so nourishing, yet so lightweight at the same time and so it's equally great to apply both before makeup sort of as a lip 'primer' or after I've removed everything to re-hydrate overnight. There's no offending or overpowering scent either - it's a definite, failsafe winner for me!

CYO NIGHT FEED OVERNIGHT LIP PRIMER - This one's been a staple in my stash for a while now but I feel like I'm yet to mention it round these parts - so what better time than now, right? This one comes housed in a handy squeezy tube and is more of a thick cream-like texture - but it still glides on and absorbs into the lips super quickly and easily, don't worry! As the name suggests, this is actually more so a 'primer' so definitely leaves behind that slight tacky feeling afterwards which makes for a great, foolproof lipstick application - but I sometimes use this just as a normal lip balm too and it works well alone too...

NYX BARE WITH ME HELP LIP CONDITIONER - This is more of a recent discovery, but so far I'm loving it! With my CYO kinda running out, I was after adding a new lip treatment into my collection and this one caught my eye in my local Boots ones day. I think it is more of a new launch from NYX and I remember seeing some good things so far, so had high hopes - and I really like it! This time, we have more of a 'oil' type texture and it's another different packaging format too - you get a doe foot applicator to apply it onto the lips, almost like you would a lip gloss! It leaves the lips looking super shiny like after you've applied a lip gloss too but it does kinda sink in over time slightly, which is great if you're wanting to apply lipstick afterwards. I feel like this one also not only nourishes the lips, but does the most in terms of making them feel/look more full and plump too - lip fillers who, eh?

LANOLIPS 101 OINTMENT MULTI-BALM IN 'STRAWBERRY' - Finally, another lip treatment I've started using more recently and so far, have become a little obsessed with is this one right here. This one is definitely the more expensive offering and I was a little hesitant in giving it a go for that exact reason but I feel like it was worth it, yanno? Here you get a squeezy tube to dispense the product onto the lips, but the texture of the product itself is more thick and like an ointment, if you get what I mean. When you actually apply it, it sort of melts and turns into more of an oil but you do have to apply some pressure to actually get it out of the tube because it's so thick and rich in texture. But, as you might expect - that's the good thing about this one! Because it's so thick, it really does do so much in terms of intensely nourishing and conditioning the lips. My lips instantly feel and look so much more hydrated and like the NYX, I feel like this also does a good job at making them look more full and 'juicy' in appearance aswell - which is always what I'm after! As you might guess from the name, it does have a slight fruity, strawberry scent but it's not too obvious which I'm really pleased about - all in all, this is a pretty good lip treatment if you're wanting to 'invest' a little more...
