It's been a little while since I did a haul, hasn't it? I guess over the last few months, I've really focused in on getting through and trying makeup I already had and whenever I did buy something new (or maybe even things), I'd simply add it to my rotation rather than letting a few items build up into one collective 'haul' - if you get what I mean? But today I thought it was about time I did exactly that as whilst some of these items are pretty brand new additions, some have actually been sitting untouched in my 'New In/To Try' Drawer for a little while. It's all new makeup I'm yet to dive into though, so today I'm bundling them altogether into one big ol' haul...
First up, starting with anything Face-related - I picked up one of the new I Heart Revolution Primers! They've come out with a whole range of food-related items and within that, they've released a selection of primers - all with a different fruit assigned to them! And out of them all, I decided to go for the Coconut Dream Hydrate Primer. Having dry-dehydrated skin, I'm all about the hydration and especially because I enjoy using the Hydrate Primer from Revolution (their sister brand) so much, I thought this one might be a pretty decent shout for me and my skin type/preferences. It even looks to have similar ingredients too, aside from the coconut scent. Hopefully, that's a good sign that I'll get along with this primer pretty well. Also for the base (kinda), I picked up two brand new highlighters quite a while ago now and have yet to feature them or even test them out. Remember how much I used to obsess (and honestly, still obsess over) over the Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in 'Molten Rose Gold'? Well, it was so much so that when I spotted two other shades in store a while ago that looked like they'd be just as much up my street - I added them to my basket. They are the shades 'Diamond Glow' (a super light, white gold) and 'Sandstone Shimmer' (a slightly deeper, warmer, peachy light gold). 'Molten Rose Gold' is deeper than both of these new shades and works for me and my lighter skin-tone perfectly well, so I'm pretty sure both of these new colours will complement my complexion just as well too. Plus, if the formula is just as amazing (which again, I'm pretty hopeful it will be) - I think I may have a couple of new favourite highlighters here...
Moving onto Eyes, first off I decided to pick up another shade of the Primark Brow Gel. You may remember that I picked this up in a darker brown shade back when I went shopping on my birthday in May, and whilst I do like it - I actually feel like it's slightly too dark for me and my brows! Surprising, as normally I go for the dark brown in brow gels all the time, but this one is clearly the deepest, richest brown of them all as it's kinda little too dark for me! I did really like the formula and finish though, so this time I picked it up in 'Blonde' - fingers crossed it'll be more of a perfect match this time! Then, we have a new eyeshadow palette that I picked up quite a little while ago, but have yet to open up and try - the Revolution Reloaded Palette in 'Velvet Rose'! A gorgeous neutral palette, but packed full of rich purples, berries and burgundy tones along with your standard golds, browns and beiges - this is quite clearly a dupe of the infamous ABH Soft Glam Palette and actually, that's exactly the reason I decided to pick it up. I love the look of that palette from ABH, but not so much the higher price-tag, so why not give a dupe that contains the exact same colour story, but at a much more affordable price a try? I already know that I typically get along with these £4 Reloaded Palettes from Revolution - so cheap, but such good quality and such a great amount of colours inside too - so hopefully, this colourway will be no exception. I am making it my mission to test this palette out for once and for all this month! Also for the Eyes, more recently I decided to pick up one of the 'new' Maybelline Color Tattoo Creme Eyeshadows. I say 'new' as I think we all know and love these cream shadow pots from 'back in the day', but from what I'v heard, they've actually re-released these in brand new shades. And naturally, I wanted to try at least once colour out as I was super intrigued to see what the new shades were all about and maybe also to see whether they've kept the same awesome formula too. To start with, I chose the shade 'Socialite' - a lovely, true rose gold - and I'll definitely keep you updated with what I think...
Lips-wise, recently I decided to pick up another shade of the Maybelline Matte Ink Crayons. You may remember last month I tried a shade of this range out for the first time and was really impressed, so last week I decided to add another colour to my collection! Another 'nude' type shade (cause as I said before, whilst these crayons are matte, they're not fully matte and so I wouldn't trust them as much with a bright/bold/deep colour) - this time, a slightly deeper, terracotta brown-toned nude called 'Enjoy The View'. As I said, from swatching this colour, it does look to be a little deeper nude for me than the previous colour I picked up but that's exactly why I chose it. What with that and its warmer, richer undertone - I can see this shade making for the perfect Autumn neutral lip colour. I also recently picked up one of the CYO Swipe Once Butter Glaze Intense Liquid Lipsticks. I know CYO will soon be no more, but they had some new products on their display and these looked interesting to me - plus, they were heavily reduced because of the brand soon closing! As I've mentioned a lot these last few weeks, I've become much more of a fan of the occasional glossy lip. It still has to be a nude colour for me to go for the gloss, but for when I do want to go neutral lately - I've been switching between my usual mattes and glosses. Who am I? This range called out to me as having another potential glossy lip favourite, so I of course opted for the light, pinky-brown nude of the range - 'Stardusty Pink'. Maybe this may join my recent gloss go-to's? I'll definitely keep you updated!
Last, but certainly by no means least - Nails. Yes, I've done it again - bought a couple of new lacquers to add to my ever-growing collection. In all fairness, I have recently had a mini declutter of my nail polish collection and kind of streamlined it and removed any colours I don't like/wear anymore or maybe have near identical shades in my stash already - so I'd say adding these two was justifiable, yanno? Plus, this is a brand new range from Barry M and the colours included were just too damn pretty to pass up on. I may have to go back for more if I get along with the formula/finish. They are the new Crystal Rock Nail Paints. Oh. My. Goodness. Now that we're in October and somehow already approaching the end of the year, my mind is slowly starting to think towards all things Glitter. I love the sparkly stuff all year round, but as soon as we come into the final quarter of the year, you have to admit that it definitely comes to the forefront even more so. Which is most likely why this range has now made an appearance. A collection of super glittery polishes that dry down to a slightly textured finish (but I can imagine you can easily change to something more smooth and glossy if you want by applying a topcoat) - what's not to love? To start with, I picked up 'Tiger Eye' (a stunning, light champagne) and 'Red Jasper' (a true red with a gorgeous golden shimmer running through it). Both lovely shades which honestly, just screamed 'festive season' to me. And that's exactly why I thought they'd be the best to go for as that's probably when I'll reach for a formula like this the most! Keep your eyes peeled for some Polish Pick's coming soon...
