Having dyed blonde hair (that's also more on the dry/dehydrated side of things and on which I used a decent amount of heat on), taking good care of my tresses is of upmost importance to me! From always using heat defence to a good shampoo and conditioner and various treatments - every step counts! And one which I really value is a good 'styling' product, which I usually apply on wet/dry (or both!) hair to both keep it sleek and smooth and also intensely nourish it at the same time. I love my OGX one, but this time round when needing a replacement I fancied a change - and so, picked up the L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil!
I've always heard pretty good things about this product in terms of both how well it styles your hair and also hydrates it at the same time, so when it came to trying something new hair treatment-wise this time, it was a clear choice! And so far, I'm glad I gave it a go. You really do need the smallest amount at a time - I find two small pumps is more than enough for the lengths and ends of my entire head of hair. Give it a little rub between the palms of your hands, use your fingers to run it though the main body of your hair as I said (avoiding the roots at all costs of course!) and you're good to go. It actually dries/sinks into the strands pretty quickly so you can soon style your hair as normal and because it never weighs the hair down at all, you barely tell you even put it in there in the first place! However, by the way your hair feels and looks - you certainly know you've done it some good. My hair instantly appears much more sleek, smooth and shiny and it feels so soft to the touch too. I find however I style it afterwards my hair looks and keeps in place really well also, which is always what you want, right? Plus, it's got pretty a high heat protection in there too, making it a great option for before heat styling because after all, if you want strong, soft, healthy hair - you always need to use heat defence!
