There's a lot of new drugstore/affordable beauty products releasing once again and there's a fair few items which have definitely caught my attention! And there's not just Makeup, but also Nails and even Skincare - there's a pretty good mix in here. So, I thought I'd compile all of my top picks from everything new-in that I'm eyeing up and might pick up in the not-too-distant-future...
OBSESSION FEELS DIAMOND HIGHLIGHTERS - Starting off with these lovely-looking highlighters! These caught my attention because as you may know, the Obsession Mega Lightning Highlighter is possibly one of my favourite highlighters of all time. I love it and when I say these new ones, I immediately wondered whether I could love one of them as much! They're definitely a little different to the Mega Highlighters as these instead have a softer, creamier texture which supposedly applies best with the use of your fingertips. They also appear more glittery and sparkly than the Mega Highlighters, but with the festive season coming up - I'm actually kinda interested in that - and the shades available look super pretty too...
REVOLUTION X PATRICIA BRIGHT 'RICH IN LIFE' PALETTE - I haven't really eyed up any of the new Revolution eyeshadow palettes in a little while, but this new collaboration definitely did jump out at me, so I thought it was worth giving a mention! I think it's because MakeMeUpMissa gave this one such a glowing, rave review that I'm considering it - the eye look she came out with was so stunning too! I don't know whether I will end up giving it a go as it's nothing particularly new or different to anything else in my collection, but it's still very pretty and I could see myself getting a tonne of use out of it aswell...
REVOLUTION PRECIOUS STONE EYESHADOW PALETTES - Now, these palettes look super pretty! As I've said before, the Carmi 'Make Magic' Palette is possibly one of my favourite palettes Revolution has ever released - mainly because of the top row of large pans of cream-to-powder, super-metallic goodness. I remember this time, last year they came out with a collection of seasonal palettes which each had a row of the same formula (obviously jut in different shade ranges) and I never got round to picking one up but this year, they've done it again with another collection featuring the same formula and now I've tried the Carmi 'Make Magic', I now know for sure I really want at least one of these in my life!
I HEART REVOLUTION CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE PALETTE - The final palette in this post is this one - again, from Revolution - but this time from another of their sister brands, I Heart Revolution. I have wanted to try one of their infamous Chocolate Bar Palettes for ages now and this one is the latest to catch my eye. Whether I buy it or not, I'm not sure (I still have yet to fully decide on which Chocolate Bar Palette appeals to me most!) but you can't deny this is a lovely looking set of shades. It's very pink-toned - full of pinks, reds, purples and browns - and it's very much up my street and the packaging is gorgeous too! I have heard especially good things about the more recent Chocolate Bar Palettes in terms of formula too, so maybe this might be a good time to finally give one a go?
BARRY M WATERMELON LIP SCRUB - Lips-wise, this might be a bit of a strange inclusion - but hear me out! You might remember I bought their Peppermint Lip Scrub a little while ago (as I wanted to add a lip scrub into my stash) and have enjoyed using it ever since. It gets the job done well - it effectively but gently buffs away any dead skin on my lips, leaving them super smooth, plump and ready for lip colour - and the scent is nice and fresh but not too overpowering. So, I couldn't help but add this new scent/flavour to my wishlist! Maybe not one for buying right now, but perhaps when my current tub of the Peppermint runs out I'll invest in the Watermelon instead...
SLEEK SAY IT LOUD SATIN LIPSTICKS - This new range of lipsticks caught my eye recently. As I've said before, I only do satin formulas with nude shades so it'll be the more neutral colours that I'll be checking out in this collection but from what I've seen - they look pretty nice to me! I love a nude lip with a more satin finish as it helps keep your lips nice and plump and hydrated, but it's not too glossy so that it risks moving around or transferring anywhere and it should hopefully have better lasting power too.
L'OREAL COLOUR RICHE NUDE LIPSTICKS - Finally for Lips, are these lipsticks right here. These are available in a mixture of formulas - from Ultra Matte to Matte and then Satin - so there's something here for everyone it seems. Honestly I'd be happy checking out quite a few of them as like I mentioned, nude is the lip colour for me that I don't really mind in any formula/finish and there looks to be some really gorgeous colours in here too - and a really nice range, as of course 'Nude' is subjective depending on personal preference and also skin-tone! I've used some bullet lipsticks from various L'Oreal ranges in the past and really enjoyed them (even if the scent is sometimes a little off) so maybe I might take a closer look...
REVOLUTION NAIL PREP PRODUCTS - Moving onto all things Nails, I don't have so much nail colours to talk about - but more so nail treatments! I tried out Revolution Nail polishes not too long ago when they first expanded into that department and really enjoyed them, so now they've delved even further into nail care products - I can't help but be intrigued. There's top cats, base coats, cuticle oils, nail treatments - the lot - and if their nail colours are anything to go by, hopefully the quality and effectiveness of them would stand up too. As with all things Revolution Beauty, everything's quite affordable too so really, how can you go wrong? I may well well look into these as I love taking care of my nails and I also love a good top coat/base coat!
BARRY M NAIL SHOT TREATMENTS - These newbies from Barry M are some other new nail care products that released recently and have caught my attention. I love and really trust Barry M as a brand when it comes to Nails and whilst I have always been a fan of their Nail Colours, I've also tried a few of their Nail Care items in the past and really enjoyed/had good results with those too, so this new collection really appeals to me. They're basically all nail oils (all with a different main ingredient/scent) that you apply directly to your nails and nail bed/cuticle area to keep them hydrated whenever they're completely bare - you just have to ensure they're fully removed off your nails before going in with any colour so as to not disrupt application! Maybe I might add one of these to my collection at some point soon...
REVOLUTION SKINCARE X JAKE JAMIE MINCE PIE FACE MASK - Finally, we have a Skincare item from another Revolution Beauty Brand - this time, Revolution Skincare! I've have eyed up all of these face masks made in collaboration with influencer Jake Jamie so far (and there's been quite a few over the past few months since they first collabed) but I think this is the one that's attracted my attention the most so far. Not only does the formula sound right up my street (super hydrating and moisturising, great for dry/skin like mine - especially during this colder time of year!), and with a fruity and slightly spicy mince pie scent - what else could you ask for?
